About the Author
I have been an avid reader my whole life, I cannot remember a Sunday afternoon that did not include my parents reading. We had a huge bookshelf in our den with a diverse set of authors like Ayn Rand, Stephen King, Mario Puzo & Danielle Steele.
I have always had ideas and characters running around my head but it took a few good friends to push me to start putting them down on paper.
I hope you enjoy my musings. Please feel free to contact me I would love to hear from you.

Now THIS was a good read! Watch Me Walk Away by Jill Prand had me completely absorbed from about the second paragraph. I did not want to put it down. Sleep became a secondary function. These characters are all fantastic and so easy to love. Lisa and Bobby belong together. Although I also love the addition of Brad, I was a little disappointed that the epilogue was a Brad POV. I am hoping that Brad stars in the next book in the series, but I would have liked a sneak peek into the future of Lisa and Bobby in their epilogue. All in all, a really good book.
I really liked this book. The emotions ran high in this book. The author takes you on a roller coaster of emotions, this Bobby character I wanted to slap silly a few times :)The author also twists the story a few times which is awesome it keeps you right there to see what happens. Great storytelling.
Watch Me Walk Away (The Walking Series #1) by Jill Prand 4 out of 5 Stars Soul Mates and high school sweethearts Bobby and Lisa have been apart 6 years because of his service in the military and his fear that he wouldn't make it home. While she would have waited, Bobby didn't want Lisa to give up her high school years, so he cut off all communication when he left for basic, but he didn't cut off his love or his desire for her. When they meet up at a friend's opening night on Broadway her heart is still his and he wants to make it right, but can you take back all the pain and learn to trust again when you've learned to move on? Overall I enjoyed Prand's style but I have to say I wasn't too fond of the choppy prologue, the exceptionally generic names, and the constant use of the word "baby". While those are personal issues for me, I did find them distracting while reading. The names felt like filler names until she thought up better ones and at one, John, Bobby, Chris, Lisa, Joe, Stan, it just became a 50’s sock hop feel. Then at one point Lisa said she wanted men to quit calling her baby (internally) but it's all Stuart or Bobby called her except for beautiful. Otherwise I found the book to be well written with good character development, good timing and speed of action, and I loved how the friends stayed close over the years. I don't believe in love at first site necessarily but I do believe in soul mates and I think Prand hit the nail on the head with her description of how it feels to find your other half! I can't wait to see what happens with Brad! He was truly one of my favorite characters and I hope it works out well for him in the end. *A complimentary copy was given in exchange for an honest review* Pepper, My Secret Book Spot
*I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review* This was an interesting story. It really a story of love at first sight with all it’s ups and down and miscommunications. I really liked how it ended. The epilogue took me by surprise and I’m hoping that it leads to a sequel that’s about Brad. That poor guys has a lifetime of heartache in this book. I didn’t find any errors in this story and it will definitely grip the reader from start to finish. There will be smiles and tears and a lot of understanding of each character’s feelings and why things were done. I look forward to seeing what else Jill comes out with. This was a very good debut.
