This is one book that you'll find yourself reading more than once. The characters are written in such a way as to become real to you. I loved the detail in the book. It made me be able to actually see B'More. You don't have to be gay to enjoy this book.

Highly recommend this debut novel. This contemporary tale centers on Tonya Mimms, a talented sculptor involved in a love triangle with the handsome man in her life Malcolm Holland, then later meets Satin Pierce, the beautiful bookstore owner. The characters are well defined, allowing the reader to embrace all the emotions of the three main characters. It addresses relationships, self-discovery, bi-sexuality and lesbianism. It asks the question should you sip or gulp. If you like E.Lynn Harris's books add this as a must read, refreshing from a woman's perspective. Also to add song titles inserted within the story lines were so exacting. I found myself relistening to the lyrics of some of the songs hearing how it ties in to the story. Kudos to you Ms Rose you've done your research.
