Hannah is a single mother that puts her two girls before anything else. When her car goes off the road and a handsome Rick helps her get the girls out of the girl, she is immediately attracted to him. After they are already freed another man, Paul, comes to rescue them and sees that they already have the help they need but sticks around until the rescue crews say he can leave. Rick has gone through a very nasty divorce, and has sworn off relationships knowing that he cannot trust women, but there is something about Hannah that he can’t get her out of his head. He needs to know that she and her girls are safe and makes it his mission to keep them safe. Tanner is Hannah’s other brother and the sheriff in town. He warns Hannah to stay away from Rick and Paul because he doesn’t trust either one. Hannah begins to wonder who she can trust but in her heart she feels that Rick is a good guy, but who can she really trust when it is obvious someone is out to hurt her? This is another can’t put down suspense that will keep you up past your bedtime. It is the perfect blend of suspense and romance that Tamra Lassiter writes so well. I defiantly recommend this one as a must read. I received this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review

Another good one in this series. A romance and a mystery to solve. Rick and Hannah both have hurts and baggage. Can they let go of the past and share a future together? Liked seeing some of the characters from book 1. Hannah's mom was funny. Love the cover.

i really enjoyed this book - i found the characters to be very real and very intriguing both with a vulnerability and strength that keeps you invested and engaged - you want to know what happens not only because the story is good but because you care about what happens with these characters

Hannah is a divorced mother if two young girls. Her husband decided after the birth of their second daughter that he just didn't want the responsibility and left. Hannah is working hard to support her girls on her own. Luckily, she has the help of her parents, who lives nearby, as well as her big brother, Tanner. One night, she is on her way hime from her brother's house, with her two daughters in the back seat. She suddenly loses control of her car and it plunges over the embankment, headed for the ocean below. Luckily, the three of them survive and are rescued by a handsome bystander, Rick. The sparks fly from the moment they first meet. Another man, Paul, happens by shortly thereafter. When the sheriff's deputies and Hannah's brother arrive on scene, it's plain to see that they all have some issues with Paul. There are other problems too. Seems Hannah's tire was cut. Rick is smitten with Hannah and finds it hard to stay away. He wants to protect Hannah and her daughters. More problems occur. There is a threatening note and a missing piece of jewelry. This is a good book. Mrs. Lassiter writes a great story. It's a quick read and well worth your time. I was given an advance copy of this book. This is my honest opinion.
