It was an exceptional book. Powers, the E.Y.E, love, friendship, and adventure! All the stuff you can ask for in a book!

So, there you go. Another late review, folks. *sigh* Sorry. So, when I started Waybrooke, I had my exams and I was thinking that the book better be worth it. And it was. This isn't the sort of book that you just chew and digest and it's over. This is the sort of book you end, and then sit back and think about it, keep thinking about it, think, think, think, because you're not satisfied. You want more. And you keep thinking about, and you keep re-reading it because you're waiting impatiently for the second book.  Action-packed, well-developed characters and full of humor to lighten the serious mood, I loved the book, probably one of the best. But the only reason there is one star short is because of the grammar. The sentence structure was a bit broken. But I still loved, nevertheless. I really like the main character, Carrie. She's strong and brave, and logical. I love Will, and I loved Scott as well, and cried when he died. Overall, it was a good book. I loved it, and I don't regret the time I spent on it. I'd write more, but words become meaningless, so I'll just leave it to the fact that it was a Goodread :)

Waybrooke book review I was recommended this book by the authors sister, whom I met in a group on goodreads. When I read the description, I was very excited to read this so when I got it, I jumped right in. I was not disappointed. I was immediately transported to the Waybrooke Institute in Maine, where Carrie used her fantastical powers to help other people. Soon, they were on the run from the EYE, which none of them knew much about, except Scott, who was rather secretive. I won't spoil the ending, but this book held me captivated even after the last page, when I went back to the beginning and read it again. I even stayed up late the first time to finish it. I was incredibly impressed by the quality of this book, and was even more impressed when I learned that Julia Barkey was only 16. Julia Barkey is an amazing role model for aspiring authors. She proves to everyone that your never too young to do what you want to do, and to do it well. She has inspired me so much, and I hope that Julia does well with her books. I am so excited for the second book, and I'm sure it will be just as amazing as the first. Thank you Julia, for creating the world of Waybrooke, and good luck with writing the next one!
