FBI Special Agent Colton Brady is an important person in Kalliope Winters's life. He's been her savior, pulling her out of the darkest of days and rescuing her from herself on more than one occasion. She trusts him implicitly, but he's hiding something, and it may cost them their lives. A cracked serial killer obsessed with Kalli is stalking her. She's completely unaware of this until she wakes up painfully zip-tied to a chair, severely beaten, and close to death. Now she has to rely on Jaxxon, Colton's twin brother, a man she's craved since adolescence, to keep her safe. Jaxxon is moody, arrogant, and bossy as all hell. His demeanor is as lethal as his sinfully good looks and he will stop at nothing to keep his current assignment, Kalli, alive. But Jaxxon is also lying to her.

Kalliope Winters is not new to death and losing the ones she loves. When a crazy person kidnaps her from her bar " Tap That" and kills her best friend FBI Agent Colton her life crumbles to pieces. Colton and Kalli have been best friends for over 29 years since Kalli's parents died in a car accident. Colton's death is so overwhelming for Kalli she is unsure how she will ever go on and feels the guilt of his death. Jaxxon , Colton's identical twin brother is left to pick up the pieces and protect Kalli in the process from the mad person who kidnapped her and killed his brother. Jaxxon and Kalli have never been close and having him as her protector is not what she wants or thinks she needs. But it might just be Jaxxon who saves Kalli in more than one way. My thoughts: First I would like to thank Netgalley.com for the advanced copy of this book for an honest review. I enjoyed this book immensely. It was fast paced and a easy read. I love a good steamy romance. Oh Boy were there some HOT ans STEAMY sections of this book. Every woman needs a man like Colton or Jaxxon once in their lives. The characters were developed somethings such as back stories and histories could have been a little more detailed or explained a little better. However it was explained enough to get the jist of it. This would make a good beach read since it takes place in Tampa Florida and nothing goes better with a good romance then sand and salty air.
