Three in one. If you like Palmer's older romances, these are decent. If you like strong, independent heroines who aspire to be more than housewives, you should probably look elsewhere.Ward & Mari - thrown together by a conspiring aunt, "dying" man Ward has no intention of tying the knot. He might consider an affair.... "Traumatized" Mari wants to be a writer. Fascinated by Ward, she has no intention of being a mistress.Kingman & Tiffany - Spoiled deb Tiffany's chased King for a long time. But now that she's caught him, she's not sure they know each other well enough to make a match.Callaghan & Tess - Cag has no intention of marrying. But he can't fight his attraction to young housekeeper Tess. Conspiring brothers see the two married, but a happy ending still isn't quite in sight. (My personal favorite of the three.)
