Never a dull moment in this book! Wednesdays in the Tower is the sequel to Tuesdays in the Castle, so if you haven't read that book then STOP, buy it first and then read Wednesdays in the Tower.  Celie is back and adventure always seems to follow her wherever she goes!  She finds a new tower which isn't that odd being that the castle adds rooms and changes things regularly, but this tower has a giant egg in it!  Celie just knows that the Castle has meant for her to find this egg and hatch it.  What an adventure this book will take you on!  I didn't want to put it down and there was never a dull moment :)  Wednesdays in the Tower is a great addition to the series!  My only negative;  the ending!!!  Total cliffhanger!!!  I think Jessica Day George is personally trying to drive me crazy with not knowing!  I am hopeful the next book will be out sooner than later!  A wonderful middle-grade fantasy book, Wednesdays in the Tower will delight any reader young or old!  Five stars! I received an E-ARC copy of this book via Netgalley.

I got this book because my sister likes Griffins and this is about how the lead character finds a Griffin in the castle. We did not read the first book. From an story perspective it isn't necessary to have done so, as the first book was a complete story. However, there is very little description of the characters in this, the second book, so it's a good thing there was a cover on it! The other thing we did not like was that this book does not have an ending. Ok, I appreciate the whole book series, leave them with a cliffhanger thing, but since the first book supposedly ended with a completed story, I thought this one would too. Additionally, one of the last things the lead character says is totally stupid and makes no sense - she has NO idea what happened to some of her family and never seems concerned about it - her mind is elsewhere, like she's just moved on to the plot of book 3 as a taste of what's to come. Still, I gave this book 4 stars because it was exciting, has a cool castle and great dialogue. Love the griffin!

This book is perfect if you want fun, exciting, and suspensful. You don't know whats going to hapen next. Hope this helped tell you.... BUY THIS SERIES!!! Thanks for reading! Love, IceFawn. &hearts! &hearts!! &hearts!!! &hearts!!!! &hearts!!!!! P.S. &hearts forever!!!!!! And ever! I'm SHOULD stop writing now but i won't. Dpes any one know how to do emojis? If you do please post back to tell me. I can only do the heart. ( it's & hearts, without the space). So if you know how to do emojis replie to IceFawn. I wish i was a princess. I would have: long black hair, fair skin, light purple eyes, and would be slender. Gifts i would like from my fairy-godmothers; slender and poise. Grace and beauty. No magic would be able to harm me. I would be a great dancer, singer, and could play any instrument. And i would be a remarkable drawer. I would love to be princess of the kingdom ok Treecrest, from some of E. D. Bakers books. I want to tell you a story of honesty; on a old dirt road, a young girl was walking. She was dressed poorly and was covered in dirt, but she had a glint in her eye. Some people passed her, not giving her more then a glance. But lo, and behold, a large caravan came tumbling passed. It stopped by a welk up road. The girl said "Kind Sirs, may i have drink?" The 'Sirs' laughed, spit in her face, and said; "This water is for the Duke Jacub, of Dorifurr. A peasent like you my not drink it!" After that caravan left, wagons came and went. Every time a person walked or rode by the girl dropped a coin. No one gave them back. But then a royal prossesion passed and the dropped a coin. The prince shouted "Stop the prossesion, please!" He then got out, picked up the coin, handed it to the girl, and smiled. "Who might you be?" Questioned the prince. Suddenly the girl changed. In her place was a beautiful girl, with clthes of royalty, and not a speck of dirt to be seen on her. "I'm Lucinda, duaghter of King Baldwick, rular of Helmstopia." So the duke, not kind nor thoughtful, wouldn't share WATER! But this prince, in a very large prossesion which wasn't easy to stop, did so any way to give this dirty, ragged, girl her coin. And that's not a real story but you get the picture; be nice to whomever; you don't know when one of them is a prince or princess! Goodbye! L&heartsve, IceFawn. P.S. Happy early Valentines day!

But a great book.

I thoroughly enjoyed the first book, and was disappointed with this one. It was a bit confusing to follow and left a cliffhanger... really? Plus the storyline is very different..focuses more on the raising of a griffin than an exciting adventure that the castle has.

The person who asked if it was going to be a bad cliffhanger can be reassured that though it isnt the worst, it isnt the best either

This book just didnt reach my excpectatations. I love the books jessica day george writes but this one is my least favorute one. While tuesds in the castle us action packed and hrilled this one only explains about the griffin celia raises and how the castle starts doing weird things. I would recomend any of her other books though

Is it a bad cliffhanger? And is there going to be another book?
