About the Author

K.I. Lynn is the USA Today Bestselling Author from The Bend Anthology and the Amazon Bestselling Series, Breach. She spent her life in the arts, everything from music to painting and ceramics, then to writing. Characters have always run around in her head, acting out their stories, but it wasn't until later in life she would put them to pen. It would turn out to be the one thing she was really passionate about.

Since she began posting stories online, she's garnered acclaim for her diverse stories and hard hitting writing style. Two stories and characters are never the same, her brain moving through different ideas faster than she can write them down as it also plots its quest for world domination...or cheese. Whichever is easier to obtain... Usually it's cheese.

So it took me a bit to get into this story. I really liked Emma. But Gavin man, he is an a$$. He acts more like a teenager than a man. I mean he does explain his reasons for his attitude later but still, he is about to become a CEO of a major company and he can't handle an emotion for a woman. But I gave it four stars due to Emma and how she handles him. She is a very strong female character and keeps this story together. So if you are looking for a strong female character and a male that does redeem himself this is the book for you.

I thought this was a very interesting read. An alpha, take charge, damaged male who fell in love when he didn't want to. A hard working, life all planned female who knew she would end up hurt in the end but who couldn't stay away from the man who haunted her working hours and kept her dreams full of him. These two were quite the pair who tried not to fall in love with each other but who in the end gave in to their true feelings. I honestly didn't know what to think of this book when I started reading it but I'm glad I gave it the chance. We can set up plans and goals for us but in the end they don't always work out, and this book just helped prove that fact. I'm glad that these two found each other and I'm glad that they were able to get their HEA, even if Gavin did let his past affect his relationship. Love a strong female heroine who helps "fix" a strong alpha male.
