Singer Julie Kelly's first recording includes a true classic, "All My Tomorrows," which features a brilliant trumpet solo from Bobby Ojeda. Kelly also shows plenty of potential on some then-recent tunes, including numbers by Lorraine Feather/David Benoit, Betty Carter, B.B. King and Bob Dorough (an excellent rendition of "Better Than Anything"). With arrangements and keyboard work by Steve Kaplan and guest appearances by saxophonists Vince Denham and Gordon Goodwin and trumpeters Ojeda and Frank Szabo, this is a particularly memorable set, the best of Julie Kelly's early recordings. This LP from the defunct Pausa label will hopefully reappear on CD someday.
