I tried reading this story with my fifth grade teacher, but couldn't find time to truely get into the story. Then, a year and a half later, I purchased the Westing Game and fell in love with it! Each character, especially Turtle, has a personality and background all their own, and Sam Westing plays his game exactly as I would have. This hands-down the best book I've read!

As soon as I started The Westing Game, I lay in my bed reading it for two and a half hours straight because it was THAT good. The plot is irresistible, the characters are charming and intriguing, and the writing is excellent. READ THIS BOOK!!! It is definitely worth reading many times over, and it will always be one of my favorite books.

this book is awesome if you want a book that is impossible to put down, but it can get kinda confusing in the middle, just keep reading, trust me, it will turn out in the end. I suggest that children ages 9 and up can read it, mainly because it does involve murder (it is described in a way that would make a younger child have nightmares) and a little bit of "lovey dovey" stuff (nothing major, just kissing a couple of times if i remember right) but other than that this book is an amazing thriller that is just confusing enough so that it keeps you on the edge of your seat, nodnaL backwards

I'm reading this book for school and it is awesome! My teacher and the kids in class call me Turtle.... I have this really long braid and I'm kinda aggressive about it. So I kick other people's shin everytime someone pulls it. In this book, I kinda have a life like Turtle... She's my favorite character!!

This book is pure AWESOMENESS. It is a really wacky book, so it takes a somewhat wacky person to read it. I got this book yesterday and finished it today. Also my teacher said that the more times you reread it, the more things you'll understand, and piece together more clues you didn't notice the first time. So worth the 6 bucks. And to conclude, it might seem difficult to understand, but take your time to read it, don't rush to the end. If you take your time you might see something you could miss very easily. (Helpful hints; write down notes and things you're thinking, IT WILL HELP, and write down the page numbers of all the clues, my friend did that and she said it helped A LOT.) HAPPY READING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This book is sooo good! It is one of my favorites because there is a bit of everything like humor, murder, love, sadness, and a lot of mystery. I recommend this book to people who like murder mysteries. The book asks one big question: Who killed Samuel W Westing? Sam Westing had asked his lawyer to read Sam Westing's will to 16 heirs in his house. Whoever can solve the murder mystery gets 2 hundred million dollars! This book is filled with mysteries. You try to figure out who the murderer is and see if you're right. Some people are not what they seem. If you like Nancy Drew or other mystery books than this is the book for you!!!

First lines are important. If successfully written, they can convince the reader to read a book. The Westing Game begins, and continues, in intriguing fashion. The entire first page describes several oddities that will leave the reader wondering how it could be. Why does Sunset Towers face East? Why does it not have towers? What was uncommon about the delivery boy? He's 62!? And, most importantly, who is Barney Northrup? All of these quandries will be answered later on in the book, and a discerning reader has the chance to do some detecting along with the characters of the book, most of whom are trying to discover who killed their rich uncle. But is he really their uncle? And was he really murdered? Read the book to find out.

One of my favourite books I've read. This is a good pick if you're one to piece clues together as the story goes on. The characters are unique, and the book paced so well that just as you pick a side with a character, a new plot twist is used and you'll likely end up changing your mind. I'd recommend this to you 'not-so-friendly competition' fans, and those in their early teens and beyond, as the endless clues may be confusing to younger readers. Cheers!

Sixteen individuals who are mysteriously chosen to live in the Sunset Towers apartment building on the shore of Lake Michigan come together to hear the will of the self-made millionaire, Sam Westing. The will takes the form of a puzzle, dividing the sixteen heirs into eight pairs, giving each pair a different set of clues, and challenging them to solve the mystery of who killed Sam Westing. As an incentive, each heir is given $10,000 to play the game. Whoever solves the mystery will inherit Sam Westing's 200 million dollar fortune, along with his place in society. an odd delivery boy rides around on his bicycle and slips invitations under the doors of the chosen tenants-to-be. Each potential tenant is shown only one apartment and is told that it is the last available apartment. It was a mystery that I enjoyed a lot. The movie was not as good as the book. I would recommend this book to my friends because it is a cool mystery novel that everyone will like

This is about a story of 16 people who all join up to answer their clues given by there dear Uncle, Sam Westing, who was said to be murdered, by one of the heirs themslef. This Book has high litature and is full of tricks, mystrious, puzzles, and so forth. This book will leave you wondering what will come next. I recomend this book to readers who are looking for mysterys, humor, and to have a little tear streaming down your face. The real question is, is Sam Westing dead, or is he watching his heirs, leading him right ot his trap!

This scary murder mystery will keep you on the edge of your seat. Sunset towers, a Michigan apartment building, is the setting for this mystery. Relatives gather for a reading of a will and instead get game instructions. The relatives are paired up and then receive clues. The relatives have to think hard to find out who the murderer is. I liked this book because it was scary. Whenever the heirs were in a room, I worried the murderer was in the same room. I found some parts confusing because the writer left some ideas hanging. I recommend this book for grades 4th and up, because I am in 3rd grade and did not understand parts of the book.
