Music journalist Tru Bennett has done the impossible: capture the heart of rock-star bad boy Jake Wethers. Now they’re busy planning a wedding and navigating their new life together in the US. Of course Tru misses London and her best friend, Simone, but living happily ever after with Jake in LA is going to be great…right?

Wrong. Even the bright California sun can’t whitewash the dark side of celebrity coupledom. Greedy music execs, merciless paparazzi, and Jake’s wild past are lurking around every corner. Making matters worse, Jake announces he doesn’t want kids, which just may be a deal breaker.

Tru loves Jake more than anything. But when a devastating crisis threatens to destroy everything they’ve fought for, the couple must face the hard truth: What if, this time, love is not enough?

Why is this not available on the NOOK? This has happened with several books - I read the first installment and then the subsequent ones are not available (The Perfect Game & Game Changer) I seriously considering switching to the KINDLE! Amazon has all the titles available first.

I am seriously frustrated with not being able to purchase selected few released books on my nook. Like Game Changer, Out of Breath and now Wethering the Storm.  I thought buying a Nook was a  Good decision until now thinking on getting a Kindle so I can read thr newest books released. I spend alot of money purchasing books and wIt patiently for release dates only to find out book is not availabla to purchase.  My star rating has nothung to do with book just on my b&n satisfaction.  I shouldnt have to purchase an actual book when I have a Nook.

I personally spoke with the author of this book and her publisher is STRICTLY through Amazon now, so technically Barnes and Noble has nothing to do with this. I'm upset as well I can't read this book, but I'll go the old fashion way and by the book in store. It sucks but there isn't anything we can do about this unfortunately and yelling at B&N won't do anything in this case. The author does send her apologies but it's just how it is with this book unfortunately.

I agree, B&N is seriously making me considering getting a really nice Kindle. This should be available even though it's by an Indie author! This is unacceptable by a book store, you all should be the first to have this title. What amazes me is that all these B&N stores are closing, yet you can't figure out how to get with the times and get the best books out there first? You are a books store figure it out!

FYI to everyone complaining that it is not on Nook. The author signed with a publishing division of amazon so is only available there.

~Reviewed by ANGELA & posted at Under the Covers Book Blog I have been waiting for this book since discovering The Mighty Storm(TMS), which totally rocked my world. Weathering the Storm(WTS) did not differ. I was falling all over myself trying to read this book at every opportunity I got. I devoured it and I am still very hungry for more! Tru and Jake continue their relationship on a serious level. Tru will find out how to love a rock star, and it’s not all fun and games. Let’s face it, loving a rock star, Jake in particular will have its down side. His past is not exactly the most innocent and it will come at tru hard like a freight train. The first 30% had my heart racing with annoyance. Tru just made some decisions that made matters worse than it really is. Ms. Towle definitely added some angst in the beginning of this book. There will be jealousy and immature games but thankfully Tru and Jake will overcome this hurdle. The angst does level off to become good romance. Ms. Towle did a great job phasing their relationship from an angsty beginning to a solid end. At about 70%, my heart stopped from the shock of a certain event that surely altered a part of me. I was blown away by it and quickly brought me to tears. It was truly a cover-your-mouth shocking event. This is why I like Ms Towle’s writing. She has the ability to lead you one way and then surprise you with another. Wethering the Storm will have you ride a roller coaster of emotions, I can promise you that. I want to mention the humor that Ms. Towle put in to this novel. I think being a British author, she can appreciate the difference in language and make good fun of American and British terms. She had me laugh and cry in equal amount of times. Though WTS is not as steamy as TMS, Jake still brought his sexy back to this book. I swear I just cannot get enough of him. I didn’t think it was possible but I fell deeper in love with Jake. Though this is where Tru and Jake’s story end, The Storm Series will not end here. There will be a third book which will focus on Tom and Layla. I have full trust in Ms. Towle that she will deliver another rockin’ story. *ARC provided by publisher in exchange for an honest review

The problem is not Barnes and Noble, people!! Its when the author decides to go with a publisher who only offers ebooks through Kindle. One would think Ms. Towle would want to keep the loyal readers who purchased the first book through Nook. She is off my list of authors just for this reason.

Rock fiction is one of my favorite genres - I have read so many I often wonder if it is time to give it a rest, but then I find a series like The Storm Series and I say NEVER!. So much about the story has been said before, The Bad Boy of Rock meets The Girl and he changes his wicked ways - done one hundred and one times. Yes, but this one is different, at least I think so. The only problem I had with the story was the jealousy triggered tantrums, by both Jake and Tru. I hate jealousy, but that is just me, I am sure other readers won't have a problem with it, as it is a big part of the story- but I hate destructive jealousy in any form and it puts me on edge. Tru's insecurities drove me nuts at times, but it is probably not easy to love someone and have to put up with all the women who throw themselves at your man. She was also inclined to act first in temper or in a fit of jealousy without a thought to the consequences - sometimes I wondered if I even liked her as a character, but as the book progressed she seemed to mature and come to terms with Jake's life and the changes she would need to make and accept if she wanted to be a part of his life. I never, every cry when I read - but I cried reading this book. There were scenes that were so beautifully written I couldn't stop the tears from flowing. I enjoyed this book. It is well written, with great characters and a really good story line - predictable at times, but I loved it anyway. There aren't many  books I will read twice, but this is one I will grab when looking for a good Rock 'n Roll read.

I too am beyond frustrated with not being able to get certain titles on nook. But I refuse to buy them on my kindle. This is not a BN issue; it is an Amazon and author signing issue. Authors are being signed by divisions of Amazon, and part of their contracts are that their material is not available through BN (and a select other few). If people keep jumping ship to kindle for a couple of authors they like, and cursing nook and BN, they are only giving Amazon free reign to continue to do it. And really, I understand wanting to be signed, and I honestly don't begrudge the authors. However, they too are perpetuating the situation. I'll keep my nook, thank you, and drop the authors instead.

(3.75 STARS) What is there to say? Jake is still sexy as all get out. Jake still has a sexy, hot, dirty mouth. Jake and Tru still love each other but life has other plans for them. Tru wants to find her place in Jake's world but when they disagree on a BIG topic Tru wonders if love really can conquer all. I love Jake and Tru, not really sure if we needed a second book but I'm still glad we did. Missing a little something that the first book had, just don't know what it was.

The people that complained about it only being on the kindle do realize that you can get the kindle app on your nook and read both nook and kindle books right?!?!?!?

I am not going to blaim B&N because the shortsightedness of this author caused her to sign an exclusivity clause with Amazon that prevents my purchasing this book for my Nook. What I will not do however, is reward her by switching formats AND paying even more money for a print copy of the newest installment. There are too many other up and coming authors who need the readership, sorry.

Sorry this review is not about the book but about B&N not being as good as amazon. I am sick and tired of all of B&N's books being more expensive or not available for the nook. I'm buying a Kindle. Being honest I will still use my nook but more for lending purposes than buying!

Wethering the Storm by Samantha Towle was even better than I had hoped.  Apparently loving a rock star isn't as glamorous as it may sound.  The near tragedy in this book very nearly destroyed me.  It was so deep and so well written, that I felt like I was there.  Thank heaven for happy endings!  I cannot wait to see what Tom has been up to!

I thought about buying a kindle to replace my nook because this is unavailable for the nook, but I was able to put the kindle app on my nook (I have a nook HD) and I bought it that way. It sure beats having to pay $$ for a new device. Hope this helps :)

I just finished this book and I can honestly say that it was phenomenal! I could not put it down! I finished it in one setting because I could not make myself walk away.  I loved the first book “The Mighty Storm” and absolutely recommend reading it before starting “Wethering the Storm”.  Samantha Towle is an amazing writer that knows how to bring you into the mindset of the characters, so much so, that you feel like you are going right along with them through the ups and the downs.  I found myself going from crying big fat tears, to laughing out loud.  The chemistry between Tru and Jake is scotching hot! These books will not disappoint.

OMG !!! I am so tired of not finding books on B & N that I can order on my daughters Kindle. This not the first time for me... I was thinking about upgrading to Nook HD+ but no way!!! Get it TOGETHER B & N.. I had to give a star rating to leave the review, it in no way indicates that I like or dislike the book, since I can't read the #$%&!! Book on my Nook, until B & N makes it available...

This is the first time this happened with B&N not having a book that I REALLY want. I just want the da ng book, because I've been waiting for a long time. Now people want to start getting Kindles...and that is compeletly understandable.

Loved Jake's Transformation  Wethering the Storm by Samantha Towle, what do you get when one possessive guy gets everything he wants/   You get Jake Wethers and his life with Trudy.  First off, I love this character despite him smoking.   Yes, it is a pet peeve of mine, but for Jake I will forgive it.  Why do I like this recovering addict rocker?   Simple–he loved one woman his entire life.  No, he wasn’t a monk, far from it; but he only ever gave his heart to one gal and her name is Trudy Bennett, Tru for short. The events in this second book change Jake dramatically, and the change is so heartwarming and gut wrenching that you feel for the guy.  There are moments that I was laughing along with Tru, at Jake’s expense.  You’ll know the scene when you read it; it is hard to miss.  I love Tru and Jake’s back and forth and how they communicate but then I want to smack them sometimes for their lack of communication on the huge things.  No, not Jake’s penis, even though that is HUGE.  GAWD. But what would a book be with all heart and roses?  Loved  seeing the depth of Tom’s friendship for Jake. Yes, Tom the Cat surprised me.  (I’m so exited that there will be a book about Tom & Lydia).   He has a story to tell, and needs his HEA too. Of course, Stuart is in the book, and I adore him.  Just so you know there is HOTTER than HELL SEX sprinkled liberally about this book. Yes Jake likes his sex multiple times a day and multiple ways. I am actually surprised that Tru can walk.  Should you read this book, as Jake would say Abos Blanking Lutley, yes prude here, when it come to language.

Barnes & Noble SUCKS!!!!!!.  They used to be #1 and now they can't even compare with Amazon kindle.   Why can't this book be purchased on the nook.  This is not the first book that this has happened with.  So I bought the mighty storm on nook and now have to purchase weathering the storm on kindle because B&N can't get their act together.  I'm just going to stop buying anything on the nook from now on.  KINDLE ALL THE WAY. So how can  I rate this when I haven't even read it...
