What a truly perfect beach read, as long as you don’t get embarrassed laughing out loud while reading a book in public, because you will be laughing. You may also shed a few tears. I did. I felt every emotion, good and bad. Wonderful writing and wonderful characters, Lil Bailey was a perfectly imperfect heroine that anyone who has every been pregnant will be able to relate 100% to. Lil’s best friend, Lil’s parents, Lil’s everybody, were everything you could wish for in supporting characters, even the delectable Max, who I wanted to hate, but couldn’t, no matter how hard I tried. Quite possibly one of my favourite reads of 2019 so far. Addictive reading. I received an advanced copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. This is my honest review.

What Happens Now? by Sophia Money-Coutts a four-star read that will make you wonder. I am going to be honest I started this one three times, I kept hearing such good things I picked I up again, but for the first couple I only got a couple of chapters in, then third time lucky I picked it up and it stuck, this time I found the Lil liked, she warmed me up and made me care, the first couple of tries I found her a little annoying. Overall this was a good read, not what I expected but still well rounded and with good characters, if you are looking for light romance then this isn’t it, but if you are looking for real and funny then give it a go and keep reading if you struggle at first, it is worth it in the end.
