About the Author

Anita Moorjani is the New York Times best-selling author of Dying to Be Me (published by Hay House in 2012), an account of her nearly four-year battle with cancer that culminated in a fascinating and moving near-death experience in 2006, which vastly changed her perspective on life. The book, which reached the bestseller list within two weeks of its release and remained there for nine weeks, has since been translated into more than 45 languages and sold more than one million copies worldwide. In February 2015, Scott Free Productions (owned by internationally acclaimed Hollywood producer Ridley Scott) optioned the rights to make Dying to Be Me into a full-length feature film. Now completely cancer-free, Anita travels the globe, giving talks and workshops as well as speaking at conferences and special events to share the profound insights she gained while in the other realm. Anita was born in Singapore of Indian parents. When she was two years old, her family moved to Hong Kong. She is multilingual and has spoken English, Cantonese, and an Indian dialect simultaneously from an early age, later learning French. Anita and her husband Danny recently moved from Hong Kong to the U.S. Website:www.anitamoorjani.com

Most people know Anita Moorjani from her best-seller, Dying to Be Me. That book was about her near death experience and how it taught her to live a better life. That was an awesome book! This new one is even better! In this next best seller, she presents her ideas for living a joy-filled, satisfying life by loving yourself and being your true self. Anita gives the reader ten widely accepted myths that our culture blindly accepts and that most of us take for granted, and she shows why these are false and even detrimental to us. Like in her other book, she is straight-forward, encouraging, down-to-earth, and engaging. Many how-to books can be dry or at least a bit tedious. As Anita explains why each myth is no longer effective, she tells stories from her own life as explains, fully engaging the reader. Her gentle, knowledgeable voice speaks clearly. And her advice is spot-on. This is an effective and engrossing book. I highly recommend it! I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an unbiased review.
