Reviewed by Sefina Hawke for Readers' Favorite What Is Man (From the World of Ro and Mo) by Rohan and Mohan Perera is a non-fiction self-help book that would appeal most to a diverse audience of young adults and adults looking to gain an understanding of Christ’s teachings through modern science. The book offers a new perspective on the word of Christ by approaching it through a scientific lens with the goal of bringing feelings of hope, understanding, and encouragement to those that need it. Are you ready and willing to gain a new sense of hope and perspective on the teachings of Christ? What Is Man (From the World of Ro and Mo) by Rohan and Mohan Perera was a unique book for me in that it did not use science to prove that God and Christ are fake, but instead to simply provide a new viewpoint. I liked the way that the authors used a combination of writing styles to give me new insight into Christianity; the two styles of writing merge together with perfect symmetry. I found that the authors' use of lyrical analogies and metaphors to be beautifully chosen to enthrall me with the wonders of Christ. As a student of both science and Christianity, I was beyond pleased to find that others also agree with the fact that the existence of science does not automatically prove the non-existence of Christ. Overall, I really enjoyed learning more about Christ from Rohan and Mohan Perera, and I truly hope that these two authors decide to collaborate on more books on Christianity in the future!

Reviewed by Romuald Dzemo for Readers' Favorite What Is Man: From the World of Ro and Mo by Rohan and Mohan Perera is the fruit of a journey that began when the authors were just eleven years old, a spiritual classic that considers one of the rarely asked questions but one that haunts the human mind. The very moment I read this title, I recalled the words of the philosopher, the cynic Diogenes, who sauntered the streets of Athens with a lamp at broad daylight, claiming to be looking for man. But the beauty of this book is that it isn’t the work of a cynic because it carries within each line depth and truth and wisdom. A book written by two siblings on one of the crucial questions of life — meaning or purpose. What is this book about? It is simple! In this book, the reader learns powerful truths or the reader is reminded of the dread truths about the beauty and power that lie within the human person. In the first pages, they write: “In the olden days, we used to look up to the stars for guidance and love, but times have changed and today we look up to each other.” They underline the importance and power of friendship, but most importantly, this book explores spiritual values such as self-awareness, spiritual connections, self-worth, love, inner freedom, and a lot more. In What Is Man: From the World of Ro and Mo, readers find the wisdom that brings inner freedom in a world where they are compelled to move and act in the rhythm of the world and often at a pace that completely robs them of the most precious moments. They will learn to hold on to what is essential and what makes their life worth living. Rohan and Mohan Perera offer readers tools that will allow them to attain spiritual awakening. Combining scripture and traditional wisdom with the reality of culture, the authors offer a light that will shine through the dark corners of doubt, despair, and self-deprecation. This book will help any reader see the luminous light that shines within their humanity and to follow it with courage and certainty. It is very inspiring and motivational.

It is not surprising that the authors share insights and lessons from a journey that started when they were mere teenagers, because the book contains very insightful and revelatory passages about one of the themes that readers seeking meaning will be looking for. In a time when readers are pulled to all sides by the demands of today’s competitive culture, there is an urgent need for words that remind them of what really matters, and this book is one of the best tools for that. The book is loaded with empowering words and insights that will resonate with many readers. Written in a very accessible style, this book reads like a beautiful gift. The voice is clear and compassionate and readers will enjoy the relevant and masterful interpretation of some of the words of Jesus. It’s a book that will help both Christians and non-Christians find their spiritual path and embrace it. What Is Man: From the World of Ro and Mo is engaging, inspirational, and downright honest.
