About the Author

Rhenna Morgan writes for the same reason she reads-to escape reality.

Yes, her life rocks-two beautiful little girls, a great husband, a steady job, and the kind of friends that would take you out back if you hurt her. But, like most women, she's got obligations stacked tight from dusk to dawn. So, when the world gets her down, she slips into something...less realistic.

Romance is a must. So is a steamy romp (or four). Nothing thrills her more than the fantasy of new, exciting worlds, strong, intuitive men, and the sigh of, "Oh if only that could happen to me."

So, if you're picking up one of her books, expect portals into alternate realms and men who'll fight to keep the women they want. Romantic escape for the women who need it.

~4.5 Stars~ The story of Zade and Janie. Janie is recently divorced and just turned forty. Her sister convinces her to go on a Mexican vacation for a week. When she gets to the resort, it's a little rundown, but charming. After check-in, she's reading through the resort information when she spots a problem. The beach is clothing optional. Uh oh. She turns around to go to a nice, respectable place, and connects with the privates of a hot, but younger, guy. Zade isn't as young as Janie thinks he is, and he thinks of age as nothing but a number anyway. He views life through his camera lens, at least he did until he made a mistake that left him wondering what to do in his professional life. All he knows is that this woman is gorgeous, and he's going to do everything possible to spend some time with her. I'm not sure I have ever really read many 'cougar' type romance books (older woman/younger man). I must say, I truly enjoyed it. While some of it seemed sudden, the author explained things in such a vivid, colorful detail that you could swear you felt that ocean breeze in your own hair! It did seem to end abruptly, and I would have liked a bit more at the end to see where they wound up. That is the only reason I counted off a half a star! Otherwise, I loved it. Romance Readers received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

compassionate sensual Rhenna Morgan does a spectacular compassionate job in this sensual story about Janie, an older recently divorced women and Zade, a mature before his time younger man. Janie is someone I can relate to. I was in the same situation as her at one point of my life. The author does a believable job showing her current feelings, insecurities about her body and the obstacles of dating a younger man. This story deals with finding someone who completes you in all ways and how one puts up walls in relationships based on other peoples opinions. The author presents both sides of the story in a manner that has you thinking about things differently. Less judgmental. More honest. You will come away from this book having more compassion and understanding that age difference should be considered and based on the maturity of the person not the number of their age. This book impacted me greatly and I hope that readers 18+ will enjoy it as much as I have. I give it 4 STARS An ARC was received for an honest opinion by Netgalley. Rhenna Morgan tells the story of Janie, a recently divorced woman who finds herself at a crossroads in her life. Having spent years nurturing other people, Janie has lost sight of Janie. In a heartwarming, honest and sweet May/December romance, Janie meets Zade, a much younger man. Despite the age difference, the attraction between the couple sizzles from their first encounter. The book is typical of a Rhenna Morgan romance, hot, funny and jump off the page real. It's so refreshing to read a book about an older woman, and the younger man scenario challenged some of my issues around it. But Zade is a swoon worthy hero, and let's face it, who doesn't want what Janie wants.

First off, Rhenna Morgan can write some freakin' STEAM, people. Whether it's in her Eden fantasy series or completely contemporary, she fogs up the pages. So. What Janie Wants stars a 40 year old protagonist with a younger man, but I wouldn't put her in the cougar category because she's definitely not on the prowl when she heads off to Gypsy Cove for a getaway at the behest of her well-meaning sister. Of course, said sister "forgets" to tell Janie it's a clothing optional joint. I think I'd get along really well with Janie's sister. :) I connected with Janie right away. She's recently divorced and shaken up to be single again. Basically, she's devoted her life to her husband and now-grown children and is really trying to figure out what to do with herself now that she's on her own. In walks Zade. Er, actually Janie slams into a very sensitive area of Zade *cough*. He's 26 and at Gypsy Cove to recover after a business transaction gone bad, but Janie's age is never an issue for him. Nor are her concerns, whether it's body image or age difference or what other people might think of them together as a couple. He thinks she's sexy and interesting and he's not about to let her talk him out of running along like a good little boy...and the best part about Zade? He breaks the barriers of stereotype. I absolutely loved the 'don't pay attention to stereotypes' theme of What Janie Wants. Zade wasn't who I initially thought he was and I adored how he challenged Janie to analyze the fears behind her perspectives too. What Janie Wants is a sexy summer romance that leaves you with a smile.

What Janie Wants by Rhenna Morgan is a fun, sexy, sweet short story about two people taking a week out of their lives to slow down and search for answers at a beach resort in Mexico. But what they find is something neither of them expected. Janie McAlister has had a rough year. Her husband of over twenty two years just came home one day, packed his bags and said their marriage was over. The divorce is now finally over and Janie just turned forty years old. Her sister gave her a gift of a week’s vacation in a beautiful beach resort in Gypsy Cove, Mexico. Maybe this is just what she needs, a quiet week to pull herself together and decide what to do with the rest of her life as a newly single woman. She hadn’t been there five minutes when she literally ran into Zade Painel. Zade is twenty six years old. He just sold his successful boudoir photography business but there were some stipulations in the contract that he wasn’t aware of. So he is taking this week at his Uncle’s resort to figure out what to do. But when the beautiful red headed woman plowed into him in the hallway, the only thoughts in his head were how to convince this woman to spend time with him and get to know her better. “Everyone deserves a chance to be daring in paradise, don’t you think?” I want to say, before anything else, that Zade is perfect. Sexalicious doesn’t even begin to describe this man. When he looks at Janie, he doesn’t see her age, he sees a beautiful, sexy woman that has been hurt and suffered a blow to her self confidence. And he is determined to do everything he can to help her to see herself the way he sees her. “The first time I looked at you my world tilted. That’s a connection, and I want more.” The days (and nights) Zade and Janie spend together are magical and perfect. But this would never work in the real world. She can already feel the judgment from everyone regarding their age difference. Zade isn’t all that much older than her own son! Zade, though, wants this to continue after they get home. He wants more. How can he convince Janie that what they share is worth holding on to? “The first time I picked up a camera and took a shot, a whole new dimension opened up in my life. It was there all the time, I just didn’t know it. Once I felt it, I wanted more. Meeting you? Same thing.” I loved this book!!! Zade and Janie steamed up the pages. But the chemistry wasn’t all that made them so fantastic together. They were just what each other needed when they needed it. Zade was perfect for helping Janie to see herself in a new light. And Janie knew just what to say to help Zade figure out what to do about his business. And the things Zade said. He melted me into a puddle while at the same time, I needed a huge industrial size fan to cool myself off from the hotness factor. So if you enjoy a quick, sexy, sweet, funny and hot read, this is for you. I hope you enjoy Janie and Zade as much as I did. Congratulations to Rhenna Morgan for such a fantastic book.

What Janie Wants was such a pleasure to read. The characters were vividly written and made me a fan right away. I enjoyed observing them as they helped each other work through their problems and developed feelings for each other at the same time. There is the issue of age that they must work through, but the story had me pulling for them the whole time. This book also made me laugh out loud several times. It was a fun and endearing read. I was already a fan of Morgan's work, but now I can say that I love all the genres that she writes. This book comes highly recommended.

You'll enjoy this story if: An older woman finding her way via a young hottie sounds intriguing. (Intrigued, right?!?) THE STORY: Janie is a newly divorced lady needing time to regroup. Her free- spirited sister sets her up for a vacation, which unbeknownst to her, is at a 70's throw back, bohemian style, nudist resort. First thoughts are Janie wants to flee, but a buff stud of a man, Zade, convinces her to stay. Instantly intrigued, yet feeling like a true cougar, Janie hesitantly engages in time spent with this young guy. Wise beyond his years, Zade does wonders for Janie's soul, providing healing from an unexpected place. MY THOUGHTS: Right off the bat, I was taken with the beauty of this book. The dedication page alone was stunning. "To every person who's given tirelessly to others and awakened to find they've lost themselves. I hope you find your colors and paint a masterpiece." So beautifully stated, and fitting for the theme of the book. For the mid- thirties to forties age group, it's a common feeling us women share. We've spent the past chunk of years caring for our children, our partner, and our home... only to find a piece of ourselves missing in the process. Not all of us have had our lives travel the same path as Janie, yet some of the feelings we bear are drastically similar. Loss of self, and struggling body image amongst the leaders of the pack. It's with these sentiments that I immediately find myself whole-heartedly cheering on our protagonist, hoping she finds her release. I don't have to hope for long though. *Enter stud muffin Zade* He's a sweet talking, mature and confident man, despite being 14 years Janie's junior. He's the perfect someone to pull Janie out of her shell, and introduce her to a life of adventure, a happy life worth living to the fullest extent. The heat between these two is off-the-charts explosive. He literally brings out a side of her that Janie didn't even know existed, resulting in Janie's liberation... in SO many ways! I truly loved this story, and reveled in Janie's growth. It was beautiful, freeing, and just plain HOT to read about these two finding their way together. What I did NOT enjoy though, was the ending. There was such a build up of feelings and emotions, only to have an abrupt finish. If a different ending had been delivered, this story could very well have garnered 5 stars from me. Bummer! I'll tell you something else I DID love though... the boat scene. The single happening on the catamaran trip was a beautiful metaphor for what was taking place deep inside Janie. It was just beautiful!! I almost cried. I wanted to give her a big hug and tell her how proud I was of her. Though, that would be a bit tough being that she's a fictional character, right?!? Some scenes just seem 'that' real and moving, and this was one of them. LOVE! Go grab a copy of this book and settle in for a colorful and surprisingly profound reading experience!
