Author Dywane D. Birch introduces us to first cousins, Nia and Autumn who have both been scarred by the tragic deaths of their mothers and by too many relationships gone bad. However, the love and nurturing they both received from their beloved grandmother, 'Nana' planted the seed that they were both deserving of love. Nia places all her hopes and dreams on Mustafa, a charasmatic drug dealer who after doing a four-year bid promises to walk the straight and narrow. But Mustafa is quickly lured back to the lifestyle he loves: fast money, big cars, and a harem of jumpoffs. Nagging suspicions of Mustfa's lack of honesty and faithfulness slowly chip away at Nia's self-esteem, peace of mind, and her sanity. Autumn is in a relationship with a tightwad slob whose also a selfish lover. But feeling that she's invested too much time to get rid of the loser, she stays until he reveals his dark side. Dywane D. Birch has written page-turning, novel that should be required reading for teenage girls and even full-grown women who find themselves repeating the pattern of loving when it's wrong.
