Summary:AA Milne poetry for young children with great drawings throughout. He seems to be able to show the innocence of childhood as well as the adventures children are eager to go on. Great poetry combined with adorable pictures.Review:I have recent additions of this book and one that was my mother's dated 1950. The poems are so simple and so loving that you want to read them over and over again. You can almost see a father's love for his child gushing out of every word on the page. This is what childhood should be like for every child in the world.

This book has an unfair advantage, or possibly the best of reviews, as it is a family tradition. As a little girl I went to bed with my mother singing the poem "Vespers" and I know the "Kings Breakfast" and others by heart. Of course when my children were born they would drift off to a less talented rendition of "Vespers" and now both can't help but recall from memory the same poems. My 9 year old read "The Kings Breakfast" to her class for a reading program and after the show her classmates all wanted to get a copy. Poetry sometimes gets lost for kids. WIth rap (not my favorite) so big, and rhyming such a part of their music, it only makes sense that they would be drawn back to poetry.
