When Mia Corelli returns to Alabama for a summer of fun with her childhood best friend, Tessa, there's only one thing keeping her on edge. One person that she'd do anything to avoid.

Benjamin Kelly. World's biggest dickhead.

Ben can't get the girl he spent one night with out of his head. When she leaves him the next morning, he thinks he'll never see her again. Until he sees her lounging by the pool with his sister.

Mia is determined to hate Ben, even though she can't forget him.

Ben is determined to prove he's not the same guy he used to be.

Cute storyline with Hot, Hot, Hot bedroom scenes. The witty banter, dragon slaying, and sexual tension make this book a winner. Hoping for more Alabama summer books!

Love love LOVED the way they fell in love. Mia truly is princess-like and who doesn't want a sex gawd like Ben just hanging around. I cried (very unpleasant) at the cancer parts bc that's how i lost my mom too, but stories are supposed to tap into several emotions, so I still appreciate the writer for that trip. Wish I had a friend like Tessa.

I loved everything about this book. I didn’t want it to end. I just wanted more and more of that sexy cop Ben!! He is so yummy in every way. J. Daniels writes an extremely sexy love story with such powerful characters. I loved that Mia was so bold, sexy and confident even when she doubted herself and the situation. And Ben is completely swoon worthy and panty dropping sexy with his persistent dominating personality. I also love that the secondary characters draw you to them as well. Tessa, Mia’s best friend and Ben’s sister, is blunt and funny. Luke and Reed will definitely have you getting the feels for them too. I was totally consumed in this story and read it in one night. I would definitely say that this is a MUST read and be prepared not only to get the feels but also damp panties.

I am sooooo happy with the entire book. I am glad Ben and Mia worked out, it was hilarious how the story began but the end could have not been any sweeter. I hope their story is continued with a part 2?

I’ve been collecting this series in e-book and audiobook for a while. Finally, I had them all and could binge read / listen. The dynamic acting by the two audiobook narrators was such a delightful surprise. •*¨*• Minor spoilers alert!!! •*¨*• Writing style: Mostly Dual POVs (Mia’s & Ben’s) with a 3rd POV (Tessa’s) added late in the novel •*¨*• Cover and chapter design: I like this new cover design. It looks bold which foreshadows chapter 1 nicely. I also like the heart graphic for the chapter breaks. •*¨*• Story rating: ★★★★☆ Mia bold approach to solving her V-card problem was a fun and sexy chapter. She lucked out that the stranger she picked up in the bar was someone from her adolescent years. ‘This wasn’t supposed to mean anything other than a hot fling. His warm body was pressed up against mine the entire night, our legs a tangled mess under the covers. The intoxicating aroma of his scent filled my lungs and it was slowly becoming the only air I wanted to breathe. Nothing had smelled that divine. Complete manly deliciousness. I wished I could keep him.’ ~Mia I’m a sucker for moments like the above. There were plenty of those moments, too. I’m also a fan of childhood friends/adversaries becoming lovers, so I bought into their insta-lust right away and liked that they worked on becoming friends for weeks before getting physical again. And little Nolan was surprisingly a cute complication. It wasn’t hard to believe this trio needed to become a family unit. Up next in this series: All I Want (Alabama Summer, #2) moves on to Mia’s bestie Tessa and her on/off romance with Ben’s bestie Luke.

It was good. A nice quick read. But there were too many sex scenes. It seemed like they lusted after eachother more than loved. It lacked some character development too. Overall I did enjoy it. I fell in love with Ben and the storyline.

I'm sure you're thinking, "Why the heck is she writing a review about a book that came out almost 3 years ago?!" I was introduced the the 'Bama Boys about a year or so ago when I wasn't aware of the effect of reviews on authors. A few months ago, I got involved in several reader groups on Facebook and learned about blogging and reviewing. I decided to try my hand at it and discovered I REALLY loved it. That being said, there are SO MANY books I read before my blogging days that have missed out on being reviewed. Many these books now have a lot of reviews, but I still like to go back and revisit some of them to at least share my thoughts. As I had recently re-read the Alabama Summer series (to prepare for What I Need), I thought they merited a reviewe. Someday, perhaps I'll catch up with all the books I've read! Where I Belong is about Mia & Ben. These two have a history that isn't pleasant and that history affected Mia. When she returns to her childhood home to visit her best friend (Ben's younger sister), she decides she does not want to return with her v-card. So, she finds someone [she didn't catch his name] to rid her of it. She should've gotten his name. When I first began the book, I was a little annoyed with Mia, and Ben if we're being honest. I understand the feelings Mia has concerning what Ben has thrown at her in the past, but at some point you have to grow up and move on. Ben even offers her that, giving sincere apologies and working to show her that he is a good man, but it takes Mia quite a while to move on. Even with my original annoyance, I found myself intrigued by the other characters. Ben seemed like a good guy with a great family and awesome friends. I found myself wanting to not only know more, but to actually be a part of this group. I've said before that characters always make the story for me, and when I want to literally jump into the world of a book, it's over for me. I love the world created in this series and this book. This is NOT my favorite in the series (When I Fall is my fave...Reed

This was a very light, smexy read. There were a few eye roll moments for me. For me, it lacked some character development and time to invest in the love between the main characters. If you are interested in a very quick, light read, this may be the story for you. I give it 3.5 stars. It was good, not great.

This would have been an easy 5 star except for the overuse of bad language, even in front of a three year old little boy... The writing was good, the characters were well developed, the storyline was good and original... Ben and Mia were great together and whoever thought the son's mom would self destruct in that way... But the really bad language was overdone and unnecessary... I don't think anyplace in real life people actually talk like that... And, let me say, I have been known to use some pretty crude words myself...

What if the "bane of your existence" is really the man of your dreams? Mia heads back to her childhood home for a summer of fun with best friend, Tessa. The only problem is Tessa's older brother still lives in the same town. Here is hoping that Mia doesn't have to cross paths with the only person who made her feel unloved as a young girl.

Great story and very well written. Ben was super hot & sweet and Mia was a strong balance for Ben. You have to love Sir Nolan. There wasn't too much angst to muck up the story. The secondary characters were a great part of the story. I'm looking forward to more Alabama Summer books.

5 star I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, pain, grief, and heartbreak. This is Mia and Ben’s story. Mia is spending the summer visiting her best friend. The only thing she is dreading is her best friend’s brother. Ben picked on her and made fun of her every chance he got when they were younger. She never let him see her cry about it but the hurt still runs deep. One chance meeting at a bar with a stranger will be a shock and surprise for them both. Ben meets a beautiful woman in a bar and takes her home. Little does he know it’s a girl he spent his youth teasing and hurting her feelings! When they find out who they were with it’s a shock to say the least. Can they try and be friends and maybe hope for another passion filled night together? Ben will work hard at getting Mia to want him and be with him again. After all he knows he needs her in his life. Only issue he sees is she lives 4 hours away. Mia was just supposed to come for the summer. She is just taking a break from taking care of her mother. What happens when 2 tragic events happen at the same time? Will Mia and Ben be able to get their chance at a happily ever after? Or is it all over as they were not there for each other? I loved these characters and also the side characters. There are some tear filled moments and some anger filled moments in this story. But all in all I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read. I highly recommend this book and can’t wait for the next story from this author.
