About the Author

B N Toler lives in Virginia. When she's not reading or writing, she's thinking about reading or writing. Before she became a self-proclaimed writer, she worked as a real estate agent and as an orthodontic technician. **She will notice your teeth before your eyes or hair or anything.**
She enjoys shopping (way too much) and is on a first name basis with several employees at the local Target in her town.
She loves music,(bluegrass, country, 80's, actually she loves most music ~her favorite song is American Pie by Don McLean and she worships anything that is Elvis and Johnny Cash and Eric Church) dancing, (even though she sucks at it)reading, writing, eating (too much) sleeping late, (which she rarely gets to do) and laughing. If you can make her laugh, she will love you forever.

10 Stars (of 5)! I can't simply describe this as a book with one love story.  When the book begins, we meet Charlotte.  She's traveling down the road with a lady in her passenger seat.  The lady tells her to pull over under a bridge, and she does.  It's raining, dark, but Charlotte knows she has to get down to the bottom of things. The lady explains that this is where her killer dumped her body. That's right - Charlotte sees dead people!  Sure enough, she finds the lady's body.  Later, when her SUV runs out of gas near a bridge, Charlotte decides it is time.  She steps out on the bridge, hearing the water rush below her (it's dark), and prepares to meet her fate.  A voice yells at her to stop, don't jump.  When she hears him and turns to face him, he is surprised.  Ike has been talking to people since his death in Afghanistan, and nobody has heard or saw him. Charlotte knows Ike is just one in a long line of many dead people that want her help in order to fix whatever is tethering them to this world, impeding their journey to whatever is next.  But Ike is different.  He is the first ghost that willingly tries to help her.  He leads her to a store to get help for her vehicle.  That in turn leads to her having a place to stay.  After that, Ike leads her to the restaurant he used to own with his brother for a job. As fate would have it, Ike's brother is his twin - George. I can't begin to tell you what a wonderful book this is! This is THE FAVORITE book I have read in a very long time, if not THE BEST!  The writing is smooth and the words just flow.  Though the book is longer, I never once lost passion during the read.  To say this is an UGLY CRY book is an understatement! When I got to the last chapters, I could barely read without stopping - in a GOOD WAY.  It evoked so much emotion in me, I had to stop and breathe, and remember that it was just a story. I fell completely and utterly in love with Ike McDermott! I am incredibly grateful to BN Toler for allowing me an advanced reader's copy of this book in order to review it for my blog!  I definitely have a new favorite author to add to my list.  This is my first read from BN Toler, but it will definitely NOT be my last. Romance Readers Book Blog received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Charlotte Acres sees dead people. Ever since her brother died, the souls of the dead have been communicating with her. Although I am not generally fond of ghost stories, WHERE ONE GOES is the exception. WHERE ONE GOES is a New Adult Paranormal Romance, and Ms. Toler gives an interesting spin to a familiar trope. Charlotte has been more or less thrown out by her family; they think she’s crazy, and after 5 years of having the dearly departed haunting her, she’s had enough. Just as she is about to commit suicide, she is rescued by the most unlikely person.  WHERE ONE GOES is a very clever, and very well written paranormal story and Ms. Toler succeed where most authors fail because the story is entirely believable. The story moves at a brisk pace, there are no plot holes, and the conclusion is logical and satisfying. The characters are very engaging; I really loved Charlotte: she’s a softie at heart, but she means business; she’s a really cool chick, and she doesn’t do stupid things. WHERE ONE GOES is also a heartbreaking love story, and just about nothing happens the way I predicted! I must also mention that the editing is flawless! Ms. Toler was a new author to me, and I’m very happy I discovered her work! Very well done, Ms. Toler!

Be prepared for tears. The story is of Charlotte, who can see and helps deceased in limbo. But when she is at her lowest, she is actually saved by the soul of Ike. In helping each other and trying to help Ike's brother, the story of love is grown. Truly a beautifully written story.

This was a wonderful heart wrenching love story. Normally I don't care for love triangles but this was really more than that. It was a story of survival. Char is a woman swamped by darkness and ready to end it all. She lives to help the dead but no one has helped her until Ike, but Ike needs her to. You see he is dead too. He saves her and needs her to save his twin. A long the way she falls for both brothers even knowing Ike is not an option. Char needs to save George in order to save Ike. Because we know there is know future with Ike their love is heart wrenching and will tear you up inside for everything Ike can never have but hopes to give his brother. While it ripped me to shreds and actually teared up many times I definitely give this 5 stars. Highly recommend. Just be prepared for a book hangover.

Unbelievable! First off, thanks to Aestas book blog for the recommendation. Second, I am not a big review person so for me to give a book a review, it must be pretty awesome. I must say it takes a lot for me to become emotionally involved in a book. This book had me ugly crying. It is a must read! A definite 5+++++ star!

I loved this heartbreaking yet heartwarming story. Charlotte is lost. She's an outcast. Her entire family thinks she's mentally I'll. Having suffered loss of her own she set out trying to help the lost souls who approach her to help them crossover. Along comes Ike... beautiful... funny... carismatic Ike. He brightens her darkened world and gives her a renewed outlook on her life. Ike needs help saving his twin brother from self destruction over the greif he feels for losing Ike. This is a love triangle of sorts... one brother is dead... one brother is very much alive. This was a journey of healing... a story of letting going and forgiving yourself for things you couldn't control. This book definitely brought on the tears! It was well written with deep feeling and all around good people!

YEA YEA YEA You read all my other reviews for Toler and again I think she has created world to get lost in, (well not really the little town this story takes place is real) with characters you like and a few you can't stand (but its okay, she meant to do that). This kind of book is new to me, so the idea is totally fresh (again to me) but what I wonderful change it was. I was kinda in a book funk knowing I should be reading this book but not wanting to but by 7% (probably more like 5) I was sucked in. Goodbye book funk I read this book and just soak in every word, every detail, and every emotion (yea I cried a little around 32%). Bottom line I didn't want to read this book because it was out of my element, it had something I just wasn't into. But I did, and I enjoyed every bit of it. I feel bad not wanting to reading and talking so long to actually read. Toler please forgive me I will never doubt you again.

Fresh, dynamic, funny, emotional, sad, at times dark but chalk full of romance and characters who jump off the page. This is a home run and too good to miss!  I've been a B.N. Toler fan from her first novel to this one. Each book gets better and better. What is unique to all her books is a fresh perspective of genre's that have become predictable. Her view of paranormal romance gives the genre a boost especially when she wraps it around a wonderful contemporary romance.  What made this novel reach my favourites shelf is the emotional connection I made with each characters. This connection brought me to tears pages after I was laughing out loud and wound it's way into my heart. The characters of Ike and George are fabulous...as each one has his strengths and weaknesses. Charlotte is a character with depth but doesn't wear her heart on her sleeve. Her "difference" makes her experience the world in different ways. The trauma that all three main characters and what ultimately brings them all together is dark and might touch a trigger to those who have experienced a recent death.  I have to talk about the sex...or lack there of in this book. There are no graphic sex scenes but it is one of the MOST romantic books I have read in years. I experienced the characters attraction and sexuality through the emotion the writer generated and I didn't miss the graphic sex at all. In fact is was a pleasant change since it seems every book is trying to out sex the next lately.  I must mention the secondary characters of Anna and Sniper. I hope B.N. will give us their story some day and I would love to revisit the Mercer's and Ike and George's parents again. The town where this story is set would make a wonderful backdrop to further novels.  Thanks B.N. for giving me this ARC for an honest review.  I have rated this novel a 5 star read and a do not miss.. Beat those winter blahs with this fantastic romance that will make you "feel" again. This for me is my number one Spring pick for 2015.

This book was amazing and beautifully written. I finished it late last night, waaaaay past my bedtime, even though I had to get up in some odd hours for work because I just could not put it down! It even stuck with me all day. I'd keep seeing Char and Ike bicker with each other...I'd hear another character from the book named Sniper flirt with his sexy accent he had...swoon. This author is a very...very good writer. The main character Char hasn't really lived for herself since she woke up from a tragic accident...with a new gift/curse. Her family thought she had lost her mind, so after trying, and failing with medication, they pretty much sent her on her way. Fast Forward 6 years, and what has Char achieved? A place she can call home? Nope. People she can rely on and truly call her friends? Nope. The desire to continue living and helping souls finish their unfinished business so that they may cross over and start their own version of “Happily Ever After”? Nope. She's done. Power Down. Lights...out. Until at the very last possible second by some miracle a really hot Gi-Joe of a soldier stops her from ending it all. Pleading that she help him and his brother so he can leave this plane and enter the next. Little does char know though, that by helping him, she'll be saving herself in more ways than one. Omg I was as torn as she was with who she should fall for. On one hand, you have smexy cocky soldier boy Ike and on the other you have his twin brother who might seem lost since he lost his brother but there's a certain strength and confidence to him that's just as sexy. A lot of laughs were had as I read this because I love Char's curses-worse-than-a-truck-driver-mouth! I have the same affliction, lol! But I also had a lot of moments where I got all weepy eyed because this book MAKES YOU FEEL! She has a way of drawing you into the story, ripping your heart from your chest, but at the same time you're laughing at something funny one of the characters did, and then at the end of the book, you're put back together and happy with all the feels cheesin' like an idiot. At least that's how I was. I've told this author before that she is a darn good writer, but I swear, her books just get better and better. I'd read the obituary if she wrote it. I haven't read a lot of books that featured ghosts as the main characters, so this was a nice change for me. I wish I could morph from place to place...or had a super hot spirit following me around as my confidant. * wink wink *

Charlotte had a normal life once. Full of school, friends, and boys. It was everything you would expect from a college girl until one night after leaving a party something happened that changed everything. Now... she can see the dead. If someone dies with unfinished business their soul stays stuck on earth until that business is resolved and Char is the only one that can see or talk to them. Her family doesn't believe her and can't cope with what's going on so now she's on her own traveling around the country helping the souls she encounters find peace. But years alone with no one but the dead has taken it's toll and Char has finally had enough. That is until Ike comes into her life and saves her from herself. He's dead of course and needs help but this is the first time a soul has offered to help her in return. This was such a lovely story I really couldn't walk away from it. The settings ranged from charming to gorgeous and the characters even with their faults were so full of emotion and life I was almost instantly under this story's spell. And even though I knew there would inevitably be some heartache by the end I couldn't help but fall in love with right along with Char. Grab a box of tissues and settle in for a great read because in my opinion Where One Goes was beautifully done and is highly recommended.
