The second book in the A New Start Stand-Alone Series, Where There Is Life is a story of loss, acceptance, and learning to find your way.
Autumn Caparelli just married Matt Evens, the man of her dreams. The man she’s certain will transform her hopes for the future into realities … until she wakes up in a hospital bed, unable to remember how she got there or why her new husband is not by her side. As the haze clears and her memory returns, Autumn realizes none of those dreams will come true—at least not with Matt.
At home, Matt’s absence haunts Autumn, making her world seem dim. Desperate to get away from the sadness that engulfs her, she embarks on a journey to create a new life for herself, one where she can let go of the past and all the pain that threatens to destroy her—but letting go is never easy.
Can Autumn accept the truth of what happened and finally believe that as long as she has life and hope her dreams will never die?

Started this one, because it followed Skinny me, and wanted to see how the continuation of the characters story continued....This one was so much more than Skinny me, Emotions so real in this one, cried with Autumn, yelled at autumn, cheered and booed...a must read...can't wait for book 3!
I ugly cried to the end. It was an emotional read filled with interesting characters and touching story of love, friendship, family and loss. Well written.
I received this book directly from the author. Ms Carr starts with characters who are humanly flawed and the reader follows them on their journey. Everything came easily to Autumn, and when her world crashed down she found the next part of her life required real effort. She found parts of herself were less than admirable. Her.self realization comes in bits and pieces. No overnight epiphany solves all her problems. I very much like this aspect of Ms Carr's character development, and recommend this book highly.
