CHAPTER 1
Muscles
So happy and cheerful,
I have no need to be fearful.
My body toned and strong,
Arms powerful and long.
Call me Muscles, for that's my name,
With my bulging biceps no one can tame.
Feathers
Hello, good friend!
Look at all my feathers,
All on my rear end!
They're how I earned my name,
And I'd like to start a trend.
So grab a feather and slap it on,
And then tell a friend!
Hammer Head
I'm a stampeding tripod
And bit of an awkward clod.
With the head of a notorious shark,
My toothy bite is worse than my bark.
I trample, charge, ram, and tread.
I am called Hammer Head.
The Twins
We are one;
We are two.
We like us;
We like you.
Together we are —
Try not to cringe —
The best of buds.
We are the Twins.
Gorilla Prawn
I am a strange oddity,
Lost the gene lottery.
With my prawnlike charms
And apelike arms,
I am unique aquatic spawn.
Call me the Gorilla Prawn.
Jersey Devil
A creature of legend,
A beast of myth,
My mother's thirteenth,
Not her fourth or fifth.
I haunt the forests,
Reciting this poem,
Frightening those who enter
The Jersey Devil's home.
