About the Author

"My Story"
I am a 91 year old female. I have served the Lord since I was about twelve years old. My two brothers, six sisters, and I were orphaned when we were very small. My four younger siblings were adopted out and we never saw some of them again. Our dad died when some of the younger siblings, (the triplets, and the babies) were only babies! None of us really knew our dad, because of his heart, and other serious health problems. He passed away making knowledge of him more difficult as time went by! Our half-sister, from our dad's first family, never told us about our dad being half Indian; if she had we would have been eligible to receive Indian royalties. My sister Edna and I, tried to find out about this, but being children, we couldn't find out anything because we had nothing to go on. We did not know which tribe he was from. After his death we four older children were sent from pillar to post you might say, or to anyone who would keep us and send us to school; we were in the welfare system in Butler County, in Greenville, Alabama. The reason the four of us were in the welfare system is my mom didn't want to keep any of us, so she told the Touts that she didn't have an education enough to get a job and raise us. We had many hard times, but the Lord sustained us, and kept us in His tender, loving care! Praise the Lord! In this present day and to my knowledge all my siblings have passed away, except one sister, Edna, just a year older than myself. In the distant past, I heard that my mom had passed away as well as the others. I didn't know until it was too late to attend any of their funerals. Today I am alone, having lost my one son in 1986 and my husband in the year 2000. But, praise God, I still have my two wonderful daughters! I'm still trying to serve the Lord with all my heart, mind and soul. I have been attending Flowing Wells Assembly of God church since 1967; and have served as a primary, junior, and adult Sunday school teacher. Now, I serve as the teacher for the Morning Adults Bible Class; and have taught for more years than I can remember! I really enjoy serving the Lord in this great capacity! The Lord and the ladies bless me each Thursday! May the Lord bless you all! Amen
