Overview

Mia Kent lives a charmed, tortured life.

Fresh off the success of her teen drama TV series Carolina, California, movie executives want her to headline their blockbusters, and record executives are vying for the chance to release her first solo studio album. And then Mia starred in three movies that took her from household name to household joke.

Mia made more mistakes than she can count, turning to anything that can numb her pain. What the world doesn't know is that her mother is much worse than any pill she swallowed. Despite her best efforts, Mia can't quiet the screech of her past, nor the siren song of her waning fame.

Until she meets him.

Liam Walker knows all too well what it's like to fall from grace. He's a soulful rocker with a one-hit wonder under his belt, but he still believes in love--and he believes in Mia. He doesn't know how to save what's left of his career, but he knows that they belong together. He breathes for her.

If only she would let him in...

Whisper is spin off story from the best-selling His Submissive series. Whisper is a New Adult (NA) romance.

I was given a ARC in exchange for my honest review. We start off on the night where Mia's life goes more downhill and this was part of one of the His Submissive books. We get to see what leads up to Mia's crazy partying ways and what lands her in the hospital. Her mother is a monster and deserves every form of hell there is. What she has done and put her daughters through is disgusting and tragic. Her mother makes her go to a new person who could potentially save her career. he is a known sexual pig and tries to force himself on Mia. Low and behold his personal assistant, Liam comes to save the day. Liam is HOT and has a past also. He saves Mia and tries to get to know her and open up more. I felt it was a bit rushed them getting together. but the book is very short, so it does make sense.

I received an ARC from the author for a honest review. We meet Mia during her fall while Whitmore and Creighton was her pr company. We see her many falls with being a child star and using drugs and alcohol to ease the pain. Her mother is a "work of art". With a mother like that, who needs enemies. Liam...dreamy sexy Liam...the ever grounding Liam...what would we do without you. I definitely need more of Mia and Liam....and to see where Mia's story goes as she has a life filled with drama.

Mia Kent (which was a previous character in Ava Claire's - His Submissive Series) has a bad rep for being a party girl. She has a monster for a mother and Mia just wants someone to be a real friend to her in her life. Most of her "friends" have either used her for her fame or been a bad influence that called the press and made sure they got pictures of her being drunk or all messed up! So her mom comes to take her to meet one of the biggest scum bucket talent agents.... Solomon Cole! Solomon is a dirty old man that tries to rape Miami & leaves her there- Luckily his assistant Liam Walker breaks in the door and punches Soloman. Liam really likes Mia and he has fate in her. Their attraction grows deeper everyday. Until one night at in laundromat, they start sharing stories and emotions are running high. They have never told anyone else. Motions need to be healed and the passion is running high. After an "ok "sex scene, Mia ask Liam to go back to her hometown, so she and her you sister and they can make up. Over all - I hope we see a continuation of this series!!!! This is an ARC Revew.

I received an ARC for an honest review. In the beginning I really wanted to strangle Mia. Even in the middle there were parts that had me thinking get your crap together. I completely felt for her though and the life she's led. If I had her mother I'd have gone postal! I loved Liam so much and he just continued to keep getting better. I loved Liam and Mia together and look forward to what the future holds.

This is Mia's story. She was a child star with the obsessed mother, the obedient father, and the little sister everyone forgot about except Mia. Just like most child stars, as she got older, the problems grew with her. Then she met Liam. Great short! Hate the mom! I can't believe she left her alone with Sol, knowing what was going to happen. Love Liam! He's sexy, gorgeous, he can sing, he's patient, and very understanding. I think all Mia needs is someone who believes in her. In show business it's hard to get anyone to be truthful. I love Ava Claire's writing style and look forward to reading more from her in the future. I understand the whisper now *sigh* I received a copy in exchange for an honest review.

Dreams … Hollywood makes dreamers out of many and can smash them just as fast. Of course, domineering Mothers can also crush dreams. Mia Kent is a star on a downward spiral, the one thing she has always wanted and grasped for is her mother's love but today her Mother left her in the office with a lecherous producer. Fortunately for Mia, a white knight was around in the form of Sol's assistant and his conscience couldn't let this happen to Mia. Liam Walker dreamed of making it big as a musician, he flamed and then flamed out and today he became someone's hero. Mia and Liam strike up a friendship, 2 broken souls looking to find themselves in the chaos of Hollywood. I loved the dynamic between Mia and Liam, they didn't rush into anything … Ava Claire let this develop naturally and guardedly for both of them. I hope we get to see more of this 2 at a later date.

Oh my. Ava has outdone herself again. When Mia Kent was first introduced to readers in the His Submissive series, my heart went out to the young girl. She seemed so alone, sad, and on a path of self-destruction. I was happy when she was able to let Leila in and a friendship began to bloom between the two. However, I could see that she still needed more. She needed an anchor and to see that she was strong enough to fight her demons and take control of her own life. I was happy that Liam came along and was able to show Mia that she is so much more than she realizes. I think the chemistry between Mia and Liam is beautiful because it's not based on pure lust, Liam genuinely cares about Mia from the very beginning. I would love to see these two in another book. I think it would be great to read about the growth of their relationship and to see Mia actually bloom under Liam's love.

Mia Kent.....childhood star struggling against an overbearing, hideous mother. (How could her mother put her in that position?!)  We first met Mia in the Submissive books and she came across as a total spoilt brat, but in Whisper, we learn about her life, her hopes, her fears and it really is quite shocking and heartbreaking at the same time. Ava Claire has produced a very worthy book. I always know I can totally trust Ava's skill as an author, to draw me into the story. She makes me care about the characters and for that reason, I need to know more about Mia and Liam. Does Liam save her? Do they get a HEA together? Does she reunite properly with her sister and do they team up together to sort out their Mother? Love this book, and if you loved the Submissive series, then you will love it too
