Here is my reviews for the first 3 books in the Whisper Series I highly recommend this series of books. In Sophie's Secret, we meet Sophie, her two best friends AJ and Krysta, her major crush Jacob, who turns out to be a jerk and her new love Frankie, which takes her a while to realize she really like him, more then she knows or thought. Sophie has telepathic powers, while AJ has foresight and Krysta can see ghosts. The girls powers are secret and only they know of each other powers and they are growing stronger. The scene is set in junior high school. With Sophie having trouble with a bully, boys, teachers, self esteem and all that goes along with a 14 yr old girl and junior high. It is well written and makes you read and keep reading to find out what happens around every corner. New fiends,New crushes,New enemies, standing up for oneself ,growing confidence, sisterly love ,motherly love, jealously and more. This is book 1 in the series of Whipsers with "Don't Tell Mother" Book 2 ,Krysta's Curse book 3 , Visions of a Witch Book 4 and Sophie's Secret Crush Book 5. These are great books for teens and young and old adults a like. Some laughs and some saddness in this well written book. I highly recommend this a a great any time read. Tara West is an awesome writter and she leaves you wanting more and needing more. AJ is a typical teen with typical problems with her mother and brother, BF and school mates, except AJ has a gift of foresight/seeing into the future, and she is having dreams of some one dying, but WHO???? Her two best friends also have gifts, this is why they are BFF'S and she finds out from an unexpected visitor, that others close to her have gifts as well, but who and what ??? This book is a great read and has a lot of twists and turns in it. A must read and I highly recommend it.A can not put down read and I can not wait to read book 3 in the Whispers series,Krysta's Curse. Tara West is a great YA writer. Just truly talented and amazing. I loved this book. It had me at the edge of my seat all the through. A must read and I highly recommend. Without giving too many spoilers to the book, let me introduce you to Krysta. She is the best friend to Sophie and AJ. Like them she has a powerful gift as well. They call her Ghost Whisper. Why because she can see and interact we both the dead. Krysta has as a problem with two ghosts ,that will make you laugh, but that is the least of her problems. You must read to see what happens and find out about her parents and her gift and how she helps ghosts in need. Awesome book. Tara West is truly an amazing writer and I can not wait to finish the series and start on her new books.  written by Jodi Brooks

I thought the 3rd book was the best because it contained a bit more of the supernatural part of this series.

I bought the boxed set because it was cheap and I like supernatural books. I'm not in the age range these were written for (they were written for young teens, I'm in my late 20) so some things annoyed me but I also haven't been 14 in 12 years. I am sure I as annoying back then also. The first book was very boring. I didn't want to even keep reading it but did hoping that something interesting would happen. It never did. Sophie is your everyday drama queen teenager. The second book with AJ was actually enjoyable. AJ has a temper and a jerk brother but is cool to read about and finally some real not teenage made up drama! The third is good, not as good as the second but it was satisfying. I do plan to read the fourth, as I just bought it. Also, I made it a thing to go through and find all the errors... so there's a lit of those.

The Whispers series is one of my favs. Living the life of three teens with their everyday normal teen problems with the added adventures of them learning their magic will leave you wanting more. Can't wait for the next book to come out.
