I found this book at the library, and when I saw it and read the inside notes, I thought that this book sounded really good and really exciting. But it was more confusing than anything. When I read the first few pages, I was really confused, but books always reveal everything that is going on later to make you guess. But this didn't. I was confused all the way up to page 80, and then I had to stop reading it because I had no idea what was going on. There was one point in this book when I felt that this book was... okay. But it is not.

I am a father of some wonderful young girls. Sometimes it seems that this world is full of stereotypes that make girls seem that they have to be this or look like that to be accepted. This book was very refreshing. It shows a brave young woman tackling great odds and overcomming obstacles. All without resorting to sex or violence to achieve her goals. An excellent novel. Our whole family is waiting for a sequel.
