Within this book there are many issues addressed and discussed. They include students not getting the teachers they deserve, how teaching got this way, teacher training and possible solutions to slove the problems of teachers and education.In the book, the authors effectiovely stress the issue of under qualified teachers and suffieciently support their arguments; however the authors' criticism of teachers is a significant weakness. The authors strived to efficiently stress the issue of teachers being under qualified by means of observing classrooms and interviewing teachers, mostly new teachers. The way the authors criticize teachers is definately a weakness of the book because it could possibly be drawing away some of the audience, such as teachers and people that work in the education field. However that was the only weakness I could identify of the book. I feel that the authors have great ideas in their book that could improve teacher training and preparation to better qualify teachers in the future. Overall, I feel that the book was well written and the authors' purpose was achieved.
