Overview

The Crisis Pregnancy Center of Grand Prairie opened in January 1994. In 2006 they went through some changes and became the Pregnancy Resource Center of Grand Prairie. In 2018 the Center celebrates its 25th year of service to the Grand Prairie Community. The heart of the ministry is the individuals that help to support it. Those most often thought of are the staff and client coordinators who, on a daily basis, give their loving support to the individuals who enter through the doors for assistance. There are many more; the Board of Directors, the PALs (Partners Advocating Life), and those behind the scenes whose efforts and donations are so important to the ministry. These are their stories.

We hope you will help support this ministry with your purchase. Profits from this book go to help support the ministry. It is our hope that you will also support the ministry through your prayers, donations, and involvement. Your support helps to provide education, sonograms, pregnancy testing, limited STD testing and material support to clients. We are proud to be able to minister to the girl who seeks our assistance and help her with physical and spiritual needs. Your prayers are greatly appreciated as we endeavor to provide the many services to every client. It is our hope you are encouraged by what you read.

About the Author

Pamela Flynt Knight has always had a heart for people. She has enjoyed a wide range of experiences both personally and professionally in her life. She feels it is a blessing that she was on the steering committee as a stand-in for the State Representative she worked for in 1993 when what is now, the Pregnancy Resource Center of Grand Prairie began. She has been a regular volunteer, Board member and behind the scenes person. She has participated as she could through the years, and the experience has enriched her knowledge and faith.

She spent over two years finding, and interviewing volunteers, and developing the stories within these pages because she knows firsthand that the staff and volunteers are the heart of the ministry. Here are some of the stories as to why they serve.
