About the Author

Pamela King Wiggins, IBCLC, is considered one of the pioneers in lactation consulting. She became an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant in 1985. She has helped breastfeeding mothers for over 30 years, having worked for hospitals, in a private practice, WIC and as a La Leche League leader.

She is the author of several books and produced a DVD about breastfeeding. She has also been published in numerous periodicals. Pam and her husband have three children and eight grandchildren, who were all nursed!

Joanna Wiggins Garofalo, Pam’s daughter, has a degree in communications from the University of Richmond in Virginia. She has been working with her mom for over twelve years. She and her husband have four breastfed children.
