About the Author
Kathryn Tristan has written and coauthored more than 120 articles in leading health publications under her professional name, Kathryn Liszewski, as well as published articles in mainstream publications, such as Parade and Psychology Today. She is a member of the Anxiety Disorders Association of America and the American Association of Immunologists. She lives in St. Louis, Missouri, where she is a research scientist on the faculty at Washington University School of Medicine.

I found this book to be really helpful. It easy to read and to understand and I could hardly put it down. The author gave clear insights into how to recognize when worry is becoming destructive instead of helpful. Her steps to follow to control worry and to change the negativity of worry into clear and positive thinking were easy to remember and easier to apply. Anyone who stuggles with worry and negative thinking will benefit from this book. It is a good step to taking control of your thoughts and actions. I feel better already knowing I am equipped to take charge of my life.
This is a FANTASTIC WONDERFUL very very helpful book. If I could buy a million + copies I would pass it out to everyone I know and every stranger that crossed my path. Great and practical ideas of how to make long lasting changes in your life and manage worry. Its like the precursor to anxiety books. The stage just before your thoughts bubble over from worry into full blown anxiety. I wish I could thank the author in person and give her a hug. This is the kind of book you keep at your bedside and read over and over and over again to inspire you along your journey to living the life you want and controlling the worrisome thoughts we all have. Ms Tristan's approach is real and principles and concepts are realistic and able to be applied by the average person--not just a few. Read it read it read it. This book can alter your life.
