REVIEW 5 out of 5 for this reader folks! Man, when did Eric get so sexy???  LOL For those of you have not ventured into this series, put down whatever you are reading and check it out.  Especially if you love HOT ROCKERS who can rock it out in ALL PLACES that doesn't just include the stage!  WINK!   Wicked Beat by Olivia Cunning is the fourth book in her Sinners Series (although the pub dates are messed up as Olivia had some conflict with her publishers).  Eric Sticks is the funky hair, goofball, voyeur, tall and all around fun guy of the group.  Throughout the series he was my least fave character but after reading this book ... *fans myself with a hearty sigh* he has moved up that list! Rebekah is a rebel in her own making.  She has some mental and physical damage from an illness and tries to live her life to the fullest although she has some justified fears.  She is also the sister of the sound board guy Dave and has offered to assume the position (in more ways than one .. teehee) for the band while her brother recovers from a serious injury (read the previous books for more details on that)!  She is fresh out of school and knows that an opportunity like this only comes once in a lifetime so she feels she has much to prove.  She also has been crushing on Trey Mills (another hunky member of the band) forever and sees this as a chance to live out another opportunity.  What she doesn't count on is falling for Eric. Right from the beginning, these two have incredible chemistry.  They have the same off beat humour and feed off each other.  Eric is instantly in love with Rebekah (Eric is the naive, wholehearted, puppy love, awkward guy in the group that is seriously underestimated) and his band mates, especially Trey, try to tell him to slow down.  All Eric knows is he has to follow his heart! Rebekah, throughout the book begins to realize her dream guy isn't Trey, but in fact the quirky guy that is just as into fixing classic cars, dying hair all kinds of crazy and kinky sex .....  Eric.  We also know that every good book has to have an antagonist of sorts.  Well this lies with Rebekah's former ill intending fiancee and her bible thumping controlling mother. Okay .. so this book is not for the faint hearted!  While there is a great story here, there is also some VERY KINKY SEX.  These two love to role play and they have sex often, in many ways, and have included a third party at times.  The scenes are written HOT, descriptive and ABSOLUTELY LOVING! For a guy that wasn't even on my radar at the beginning of this series, he sure came to the forefront.  Olivia Cunning sure did him justice and I am looking forward to reading more! HAPPY READING! :)

Heat rating: 5+ stars Story rating: 4 stars Yep, so let's break this down. Wicked Beat will absolutely blow your mind and a hole through your panties. Okay, maybe not that last bit but hot day-um!!! It gets wicked, wild and wonderful in so many ways. Anyway, romance and sexy times in this book are a must read absolutely crazy good. What I didn't expect was to fall in love with the characters so much. I'm not an erotica reader usually so I didn't expect more than lots of sex. I'm so glad I was wrong. Eric is such an awesome guy. I loved he was different to the usual bad boy. And whoah, wasn't he a hot fine man. Loved his weird quirks. Rebekah is a great female character. She isn't annoying, though I wanted to rip her mum's head off, she dealt with stuff that was thrown her way, even the devastating past that left her unable to bear children and scarred sexually and mentally. Thank God Eric solved her problems and I highly recommend you read how he did that, too. The ending did drag a bit after it felt resolved to me and there were other very minor things that didn't work for me but otherwise really loved this. :))) Read it!

I love this series! Eric Sticks is such an amazing character. The way he loves is amazing. He is not my favorite Sinner but he is amazing. Trey in this story is amazing as always. His way of caring for others is a way to get some. I love his attitude and I wished that I wouldn't have read his story until after this one came out tho because I would have loved him even more. Rebekah and Eric have an amazing chemistry and are destined to be together. A beautiful rock and roll romance!

~Reviewed by FRANCESCA & posted at Under the Covers Book Blog I was very anxious to get this book. A lot of that was because I wanted to finally have all the books in this series because I’ve always considered reading them in order now that they are all out so I can get the right flow of the story. Of course, time wouldn’t allow me to do that now when I got WICKED BEAT in my hands, but nevertheless, I was so excited! I couldn’t wait to find out about Eric but I admit I was never his biggest fan. He was always sort of there in the background for me and I didn’t feel any attraction. But bad boy rockstar…he didn’t disappoint. The other sinners have nothing on Eric! What I thought would be a timid guy who would tiptoe around the girl he likes is a straight up seducer! Eric Sticks is hot, HOT HOT! I’m just going to say he surprised me in more than one good way without losing his touch from previous books. Yes, that means sometimes he still likes to watch. But we also get to know why. And other than wanting to keep Eric locked in my basement for my personal enjoyment, I really liked Rebekah most of the time. Yes, as with other Sinners heroines, I had my moments of annoyance where I wanted to break her skull open but I liked the fact that she is with Sinners because she’s trying to get her career going. Didn’t like so much how that might’ve been without a regard for her own brother a bit. It seems all the women in this series have no inhibitions and from the get go Rebekah wants Trey. Don’t all women want Trey anyway? And men? The dynamics between Eric and Rebekah were interesting and seeing their relationship develop while she still had her crush on Trey and even included him, well lets just say this was not where I had seen this book going and I was pleasantly surprised. By the end, I was a true believer in them as a couple though. Ex boyfriend mishaps and all. And speaking of the ex….Thanksgiving dinner! All I’m going to say. Trish thanks for reminding me about that scene because it was so hot! If you haven’t started this series, I’d recommend you do now. They are all out! Read them in the order they were meant, not the order they were published. And they do get better with each book! Rockstars for my keeper shelf for sure. I’m sad to see their story end but can’t wait for Ms. Cunning to continue with Exodus End. *ARC provided by publisher

Rebecca and Eric make the best couple. Eric a jokester but has some deep hurts. Rebecca has issues of her own. Together they face the past and embrace their future.

3.75 Honestly I thought of DNF this one just a little after I started. It went right into a big sex scene and Rebekah was worried about her problem and what they would think. It seemed superficial and weird because I was thinking she meant as in a forever kind of love and kids situation right away, but later on when I found out how she really felt about her problem it made more sense. There's TONS of sex which I was expecting after reading the others. I ended up liking the story after I found out more about who the main couple really was. I would actually have liked a little more of Eric's past included. I enjoyed the Trey and Isaac hookup.

Most of The Sinners are paired up and Eric wants what they have. Enter Rebekah, Dave's sister who will step in for him while he recovers. If it's even possible I think Eric is the most innocent of the group. He's sweet and thoughtful and just wants the love he never had as a child. Rebekah has her own issues. Both physical and emotional. Together they give each other what they need. Once again WB has everything you'd expect from Olivia Cunning.

Reviewed by Jen Review originally posted on Romancing the Book Book provided by NetGalley I’ve been loving the Sinners on Tour series, but something about this installment just rubbed me the wrong way. So we start with Eric.  He’s the drummer for the Sinners.  We’ve gotten to know him a little in prior books in the series and now it’s his turn to shine.  The moment he sees Rebekah he’s in love.  But she’s more interested in Trey, one of the frontmen of the band.  So Eric is determined to make her see the real Eric and claim her as his own. Rebekah’s brother is a sound technician for the Sinners and when he’s unable to go on tour with the band, he talks them into letting his sister take his place.  Rebekah is thrilled for the chance to prove herself and to spend time with her favorite band and perhaps get close to her crush, Trey. But there’s something about Eric that draws her in. So as I said earlier, there was just something about this story that didn’t sit right.  I think part of it was not really connecting to either character.  It could also be the insta-love of Eric and the waffling of Rebekah between Trey and Eric.  In fact, fair warning that there is a menage scene in the story.  That said, there were some creative sex scenes and there was a romance that was developed over the course of the story and even a little mystery (although not all that deep) revolving around someone trying to sabotage Rebekah. If you’ve read the rest of the Sinners on Tour series, you won’t want to miss this one.  But I wouldn’t recommend starting here.

Reb was a little much at first, but then she grows in ya. I enjoyed the story. Reminded me of some of my own past. Worth reading. All of these have been pretty good. I've re-read them in fact. s.

The Sinners is my favorite rockband romance series! I love all of Olivia's books and this one was no different. Eric Sticks, who comes off as cocky, is insecure and we see this with his relationship with Rebekah and their relationship. Rebekah has beat cancer and wants to live and who better than a HOT drummer! Never to disappoint, Olivia has written amazingly steam scenes that will leave you with wanting to take a cold shower when you are done.

Eric Sticks " Drummer & Choreographer " got his perv on in Backstage Pass, a hot scene with Brian and Myrna, then there is an even hotter scene with Eric, Aggie, and Jace in Hot Ticket. More than a little bit odd, and always saying the craziest things, this man has no filter on his mouth. You can tell there was so much hidden underneath all his playfulness. His unusual charm & pervy tendencies made me fall completely. Reb Blake is Sinners new Soundboard Eng/Mixer - She is beautiful and talented and just the right girl to handle one Eric Sticks.. Their romance is pretty steamy, kinky and just all around HOT! The games they play.. and she has a come back for each and everyone of Eric's quibs.. LOL Funny! Not sure why Sticks is holding a guitar on the cover though??? Olivia another great read - Thank you... Sure wish this band was real, they are HOT!!!!

After reading Backstage Pass and Rock Hard, I was curious to learn more about the twisted voyeuristic drummer. Olivia Cunning did not disappoint. In Wicked Beat [book:Wicked Beat|12710096], Eric certainly had problems that kept him from sexual confidence, but then he meets Rebekah. Rebekah is damaged goods, too. She's been through hell and has come out with her puppy-like enthusiasm and love of life intact. She's smart but with a bit of a ditsy quality that makes her downright fun. Poor Eric doesn't see her coming, and when she sets her sights on him, his heart doesn't stand a chance. These two are so good for one another. The sex is certainly hot, but it's not gratuitous. There's healing ad acceptance for them both through this sexual exploration they undertake. I'm not a reader to read books multiple times. I never have. But Wicked Beat is going onto my keeper shelf, and I have plans to read this one again.

I would definitely recommend the entire series by Olivia Cunning. This story takes you through the lives of the rock stars in a band. It is entertaining where you will laugh out loud in places, but so HOT the pages could singe you sometimes.
