In the newest Night Rebel novel, set in New York Times bestselling author Jeaniene Frost’s Night Huntress world, beautiful, daring vampire Veritas risks all to protect Ian…

Some promises are meant to be broken…

Veritas spent most of her life as a vampire Law Guardian. Now, she’s about to break every rule by secretly hunting down the dark souls that were freed in order to save Ian. But the risks are high. For if she gets caught, she could lose her job. And catching the sinister creatures might cost Veritas her own life.

Some vows are forever…

Ian’s memories might be fragmented, but this master vampire isn’t about to be left behind by the woman who entranced him, bound herself to him, and then disappeared. So what if demons, other Law Guardians, and dangerous, otherworldly forces stand against them? Come hell or high water, Ian intends to remind Veritas of the burning passion between them, because she is the only person seared on his mind—and his soul…

Couldn't put it down. Ian and Veritas are totally awesome. Love can build bridges and give strength to face intolerance and injustice. Worth the wait.

Throughout this book, I was lukewarm at best until the crap finally hit the fan in the last few chapters. Things changed drastically in those last few chapters. I don't know what I was expecting to make me not love the beginning and middle of this novel. Maybe it was the amnesia plotline that made me take a step back and reconsider because I dislike it in general regardless of the book or author it's written by. Veritas is slowly winning me over. I got off on the wrong foot with her in the last book in Vlad's series and even though the first book in this series blew me away I was still iffy about her. Though I can't deny the chemistry she and Ian have and don't even get me started on how much I adore all the witty banter and sexual innuendo-laden humor. She's strong and protective of what she loves and that includes Silver (which is too adorable to harm! Please may the writer gods protect the beautiful and innocent creature!) Ian has proven himself to be time and time again an amazing and protective guy to a degree. He may come off as the bad guy depending on if what he wants will affect the other person or not. I like how bloodthirsty he is when it comes to protecting Veritas. It's sweet in a very disturbing and creepy way because he's a vampire... duh. I didn't know what to expect from the next book in the series before the very last chapter and boy am I ready! That wasn't even on my mind and it was a perfect way to end this book. Things were resolved enough where it felt like a good stopping point while at the same time casting out future storylines that will come to pass. I wasn't mad at this ending and I'm so glad the amnesia thing is over and done with at this point. The Audio Book: The narration was great! I liked how she kept up Veritas's accent throughout the novel. It helped to immerse me into the story even farther.

Ten blazing bone knifes! Veritas has a few secrets up her sleeve! After dumping Ian off on Bones and Cat Veritas is on a mission to collect the escaped and finally rid the world of one pesky demon Girls gotta get her vengeance Ian ... Sigh what can I say I love his snark, his unstoppable need to irritate every being that comes within 50 ft of him Things aren't quite right and Ian knows it. Since his newly acquired bride won't respond to his texts he will just have to get her attention the hard way I think I enjoyed this episode more than the first! Chocked full of "oh he 'll no you did not" scenes Followed up by lots of "way to go you got this" moments All neatly wrapped up in one massive mess of backstabbing, new allegiance making, evil burning, heart-stopping twists, turns, and steamy romance The chemistry between these two is cataclysmic. I have always enjoyed Ian - honestly the whole cast but the way these two play off each other- One always attempting to protect the other - it makes for lots of hilarity, heartache, and happiness We are introduced to some kick-arse new character as well as spend time with our long favorites. Secrets that should probably have stayed hidden have become unearthed making an already complicated nearly impossible fight for survival almost look like child's play I am already impatiently awaiting the next in this series

I love Jeanine Frost's books especially when Ian makes an appearance . with his smart ass, wise cracking mouth- he has more than met his match in Veritas. After dying , coming back, losing his memory and getting it partially back, it's time for him to find Veritas. Love the night rebel series, looking forward to book 3

REVIEW PROVIDED BY: Kelly NUMBER OF HEARTS: 4 1/2 Ian is back and he is pissed!! A mad Ian is not something you want to get in the way of. Not even his best mate Bones (sigh... Bones) can stop Ian from his mission. The mission you ask? To find his wife of course and ask her why the bloody hell she has been hiding from him. Another great book from Jeaniene Frost!!!! Ian and Veritas story is great. I love that we are finally seeing another side of Ian that we all knew was there hiding under his tough guy façade. If you enjoyed Shades of Wicked (bk1) you will love Wicked Bite!! And we get a lot of camoes from some of our favorite Night Huntress characters, think Cat, Bones, Vlad, Lelia, and Mencheres. Can’t wait to see what is next!!!!! Disclaimer: I received a complimentary copy of this book from Edelweiss & Avon Books in exchange for an honest review. This review is my own opinion and not a paid review.

Wow. Wow. Wow. This was hot. All jokes aside, I seriously can't remember the last time I read a decent vampire (or supernaturalish) novel, so kudos to the author for doing such a great job bringing these characters to life. The storyline that was engaging and engrossed me enough in the read nearly left me speechless, the dynamic relationship between Veritas and Ian was superb and their connection was swoonworthy. Just knowing that she meant something even after all his memories were erased showcased that and was further proven by their intimate scenes (prince albert, anyone?). So don’t miss out on this great supernatural paranormal novel filled with action, actual plot and storyline (bless), hot vampires, and oh so steamy chemistry. But… yes there is a but! Please note that this obviously isn’t a standalone, so definitely check out book one of the series to catch up on Veritas and Ian journey in defeating Dagon and rekindling a nearly diminish relationship.
