Mihaela Modorcea is an American Romanian-born actress, writer, singer, songwriter, dancer, and painter. She graduated with honors from the National University of Theatrical Arts & Cinematography in Bucharest, having played, along with her multi-talented identical twin sister Gabriela, the lead character in the award-winning musical "The Two Orphans", Bucharest, 2006. Their mother, Violeta, has a PhD in comparative theatre. Their brother, Vlad, is a game producer. Gabriela is the Wicked Clone who has inspired Mihaela to write her cinema novel "Wicked Clone or how to deal with the evil" – a story of a vampire bitten by a human being, a healing fairy tale full of music and paintings. For the first time the heroes of a novel are heroes in real life, attempting to change the world just like the characters are trying to. Mihaela Modorcea is also the author of the poetry book "Rage and Love", Bucharest, 2006, of the cinema play "Wicked Clone or how to deal with the evil", New York, 2011, of the poetry book "Wicked Clone or how to get reborn", New York, 2015, and of the "Wicked Clone The Cinema Musical", New York, 2011. The cinematic play "Wicked Clone", based on Mihaela’s "Wicked Clone cinema novel", debuted on off Broadway at the prestigious "Ensemble Studio Theatre", in New York City, 2011, under the direction of Jamie Richards, starring Mihaela and Gabriela as authors, composers, performers and choreographers. After having seen their "Wicked Clone" performance, "Imagem", the world’s largest independent music publisher, signed them on the spot. This year, the "Wicked Clone" cinema musical has seen the light on the stages of "Lynn Redgrave Theater", "Elektra Theatre", "Laurie Beechman Theatre", finding the most beatific and enthusiastic audience ever. Mihaela and Gabriela aka Indiggo Twins have also written and produced over 250 songs, 21 of which are included on the "Wicked Clone cinematic music album." Along with her twin sister Gabriela, Mihaela is featured and credited as writer and performer on Jay-Z & Kanye West’s multi-platinum and four times Grammy award-winning album “Watch The Throne,” on the song “Murder To Excellence” which is widely considered and reviewed as “the centerpiece of the album.” ("The New York Times")

Ladies and Gentlemen, Mihaela Modorcea presents to you... THE Most Addicting Book in the World!!!! How I absolutely loved this book. Ever since I received it last summer, I have always called it "The Most Addicting Book in the World". The suspense, the imagery, the time-travel concept, the adventurous journey Mihaela went on, the romance with the different boys, the horror, the way the songs fit in, the characters... everything just kept me hooked! I just had to keep reading and reading, and I actually finished half of the book in a few hours. I finished the whole book in just 3 days. I was like: "...That's it? It ended already?!" I was blown away by how well-written this novel was. I feel like someone should make a videogame out of it! My favorite characters were Mihaela, Magia, the really cool bee, and the horses. And boy, was Vlad the Impaler scary! I'd highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a lot of love, magic, adventure, and excitement in literature. Like if I could, I'd rate it 6 stars! Your eyes will be glued to the pages, and you'll just keep wanting more!

I have read Wicked Clone multiple times and get new meaning from it with each read. My first indulgence was motivated by my desire to escape the harsh realities of everyday life. This novel was sure to make me escape into a fantasy land of another time and place. Little did I know that this was more than a quasi-historical account of life in Transylvania in the 15th century. This book's time frame actually extended from the past to the future--and back a few times. Along the way, it planted the seeds for stories within stories. Each subsequent reading gave me a deeper understanding of each character--real or fictional and there were both. Embedded were subtle cross-references between various storylines that sewed together a grand master plan of understanding. It's as if I could live in the book as each individual and feel their loves and obsessions, strengths and weaknesses, and finally their redemptions. Two central characters—Mihaela and Gabriela—proved to be two sides of the same coin—a coin that was used effectively to trade values among the characters. Davidson—whom I related to most on a personal level—illustrates effectively the transformative power Mihaela was able to bring to him and many others—whose fate I will not reveal because I want others to live the uncertainty that I had. To say this book is transformative is an understatement. I am not a religious person but this could be described as a religious experience. Its author turns readers into disciples of a universal birth of understanding. "I recommend each reader take the journey once...take time to reflect...and read it again...and again. Like a great Shakespearian work, one read is not enough.

I am so excited to read again Mihaela Modorcea's cinema novel "Wicked Clone" of almost 600 pages, now also on my tablet. I have bought the Paperback format and simply couldn't put it down until I got to the last page. The wisdom contained in this profoundly original novel with an extraordinary story, the memorable characters and ancient recipes of life, the high meanings and the Shakespearean spirit, the pictorial fairy-tale tapestry of words have fascinated me, have turned into sweet savory obsessions and reasons of inspiration for my life. An amazing fairy-tale about true immortality, Mihaela Modorcea's complex cinema novel is undoubtedly a work of art that springs from the family tree of high spirits - Dante, Shakespeare, Goethe, Ibsen. It is a work of art dedicated to the meaning of human existence, to love and to the power of sacrifice, to the human being who has not yet discovered himself fully and needs monsters to light up his path. But "Monsters are humans…humans who didn't get Love. Monsters need Love." With a monster novel as "Wicked Clone", literature makes great strides towards big awards. Full of surprising actions spanning 7 centuries from Transylvania, New York, London to the head of God, brimming with original music scores of divinely inspired melody and poetry, the cinema novel 'Wicked Clone" is a real challenge for a successful long-running TV series or a monster feature film directed by sacred monsters like Kenneth Branagh, Mel Gibson, Tim Burton…I highly recommend taking this mesmerizing journey for anyone who wants to find his real twin! I thought this was a book on vampires and instead, I had the revelation of an art monument built in honor of the human being and of true Love & Goodness. This Wicked Clone novel is a treasure, a gold mine and undoubtedly a masterpiece that should be studied in schools.

I bought the “Wicked Clone” novel in paperback book format and I was highly surprised: I read an amazing fairy tale, so healing and miraculous but at the same time so pictorial and cinematic; it was as if I watched a stunning movie with an immortal story and timeless music. I highly recommend this cinema novel full of the joy of Art, abounding in poetic sensibility and a painter’s imagination, in cinematic cuts made by a brilliant director’s mind with incredible change of action and highly-developed characters. I can’t wait for the Wicked Clone music album too. I keep playing the Wicked Clone music scores on my old Yamaha keyboard and I cannot stop humming them. They are stuck in my head as if I knew them for a lifetime.

Wicked Clone cinema novel is a book for an Oscar. It’s much better than Bram Stoker’s “Dracula”. Vampires are just a means of rediscovering the human being.

Mihaela Modorcea has outdone herself in this wonderfully-written, fantasy-based novel "Wicked Clone"! This multi-published, multi-talented playwright shows us the depth of sisterly love and the breadth of her knowledge with beautifully-crafted words overflowing every page of her book. Never has any fiction been conceived so artistically and masterfully by demonstrating the reciprocation of history and religion. I strongly suggest you pick up Mihaela's "Wicked Clone" from Barnes & Noble today and I guarantee it is such a good read that you will never regret your investment but will recommend it to your friends and loved ones as well. 5-STAR!

I got this book from Book Expo. At first...I loved the cover, then I started reading it in the subway. I lost my stops several times...because it takes you to another world, dimension and it is written so poetically and magically... So much different than everything I've read until now! I think they should introduce this book in my class schedule! It is so much more compelling and engaging than all the nonsense and boring books they put us to read! I'm so glad I'm reading it! I am not at page 380 and I can't wait to see what happens to Gabriela. She is so scary...and troubled! Uhhhh... On my way to school, reading Wicked Clone *****!

Wicked Clone is the only cinema novel, a new genre. The words, with the imagery of poetry and the ease of prose, engage your imagination — much more vivid than any screen, projecting a movie with 187 scenes in your mind. You are transported from physical sensation to mental thought, feeling and contemplation, allowing you access to your spirit. At the deepest level, you ponder “how to deal with the evil” (the book’s subtitle). Maybe, you’ll find more love in your heart, more inspiration in your brain and more light in your soul, using the book as a road map.

How great would it be if someone wrote a book that incorporated love, hate, jealousy, romance, murder, lust, mysticism, incest, time travel, vampirism and spiritually...but wrote it with the love of words shared by Goethe, Shakespeare and Dante? What if, on top of all that there were a high, transformative message that heals the heart? A message that love of a higher power can change us and can help us "change the evil into good" as Mihaela, the main character keeps trying to do. And does she succeed? Her personality of a goddess, a priestess of love shapes the future of the world. We can influence each other by the way we live our lives. The heroes of "Wicked Clone" are out-worldly, innocent, grotesque, magical, hellish, fantastical, and out of the box. The prose is poetic, magical, and penetrates the soul; it raises our mortality to immortality. Immortality is not physically living forever, but leaving your mark, inspiring others through our works to have lives with a higher purpose. Mihaela Modorcea has done this in her novel, "Wicked Clone or how to deal with the evil." She has lovingly captured the culture of Transylvania, its rituals and mythology, and combined it with an engrossing story about beautiful twin vampires whose lives are changed when one sister is bitten by a man and infected by the human love virus. "Dog bites man is not news, but man bites dog is worth talking about!" This infection of love is an awakening. This beautifully written story is an allegory for man helping man...caring about others and inspiring others through our deeds. I've read this book twice, so far. I wasn't able to put this novel down. It actually inspired me to be a better person and influence others to be better people, too! BTW, as one of the heroes is a composer, there are music scores inside the novel and a Wicked Clone CD (soundtrack) available with 25 infectiously catchy and uplifting songs that are directly related to the Cinematic novel! A musical cinematic novel!
