Overview

All Tyler Mercer wanted was to make music—until he met Avery Jenson. The beautiful new girl in town turned his head and struck a chord in his heart. But when their one night of passion results in devastating tragedy, Tyler hits the road, leaving behind his dead-end hometown and the girl he knows he’ll never forget.

After her father was caught embezzling, Avery’s comfortable life in the city was blown to bits. But meeting Tyler helped to pick up the pieces and eased her into country living. She just never expected the handsome musician would add to her heartbreak by walking away without a backward glance.

Now, three years later, rock star Tyler’s come back, hat in hand. He’s found fame and fortune as a member of Wicked White, but it’s all worth nothing without Avery’s love. Can she forgive him for leaving when she needed him most? Or will the ghost of their past keep them apart?

(4.25- 4.5 STARS) For me, Wicked Love stand out from the rest of the series with its story telling. While this is a second chance romance, ¾ of the book takes place in the past. So you get the buildup of their relationship and then ultimately the breakdown but we as the reader are there through it all. Avery and Taylor meet while she’s in college. While they’re both attracted to each other Taylor has his reasons for not taking it further. Everything changes though when he’s confronted with the possibility of losing her forever. Unfortunately that doesn’t stop him from leaving her when she needs him the most. I didn’t see the little twist coming so that was unexpected. I loved these two together and the epilogue was the icing on their cake.

Avery caught Chance cheating on her . Avery’s sorority sisters Sasha and Rosemary were with her. She caught Chance at the Highland Cinema making out with Charity. Avery decides she wants revenge and the one thing Chance does love is his red Camero and Avery decides she wants to bust his headlights out. But then she realizes it is a crime and her sorority sisters would give her name in a flash and she didn’t want to disappoint her dad who had always been there for her. A handsome had stopped her at first anyways asking her what she was doing she told him the truth and he backed off. The girls left after putting Avery down and she had no ride back so Tyler who was the stranger offered to give her a ride and since she had a tire iron on her and it wasn’t the safest places she decides to take the ride. Tyler was a gentleman and gave Avery a ride home. Then Avery’s dad was caught embezzling and fired from his job and they have to move in with her grandmother in a small town. Her dad is adding an extra room on her grandma’s house it so happens Tyler lives in the same town and is helping Avery’s father add the room. Even though Tyler had only seen Avery the one time she haunts his head, heart, and dreams. Tyler had given a promise to his father just before he passed away that he would go for his dream of becoming a rock star. But as he and Avery spend more time together he finds it harder to want to keep that promise. Then Avery and Tyler have one passionate night together. Tyler tells Avery being with her was a mistake and he has to refocus on his music and leaves. But actually Tyler feels responsible for the tragedy in Avery’s life and leaves her when she needs him most. Three years later Tyler was world famous rock star for Wicked White. Returning home Tyler hopes he can fix Avery’s broken heart. Usually I love rock star stories but this one fell short for me. I didn’t hate nor did I love it .It started out very good but then went downhill at least fro me. The biggest thing was Avery started out gutsy and bold in first meeting Tyler but somehow she lost that and meekly excepts Tyler back into her life after three years. How could she trust he would not just up and leave again. More important how can she totally forget how he hurt her in the past he didn’t have to do anything not beg her to forgive him not grovel not have to work hard to get back to her and win her trust and love again but that didn’t happen either. Just isn’t realistic to me in any way. The ending also feels a little rushed to me. I was looking forward to reading this but was disappointed. I received an ARC of this story for an honest

WICKED LOVE is the third installment in Michelle A. Valentine’s new adult, contemporary WICKED WHITE romance series focusing on the members of the rock band Wicked White. This is drummer/singer/song writer Tyler Mercer, and Avery Jenson’s story line. WICKED LOVE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from previous story lines is revealed where necessary. Told from dual first person perspectives (Tyler and Avery), spanning six years between the past and the present, WICKED LOVE follows the Avery Jenson, a well to do college student, who loses everything when her father is caught embezzling, and charged with fraud. Meeting musician Tyler Mercer is the one bright spot in the seemingly endless string of bad luck, until the night that tragedy strikes, and Avery knows what it is like to lose more than material possessions. Tyler is a young man, riddled with guilt, who made a promise to his dying father, and a disaster is as good as time as any to make a break, and get on with his life. Signing with the rock band Wicked White finds our hero on the road, while the woman he once thought he loved is left behind to pick up the pieces. The attraction between Tyler and Avery is immediate but Tyler plans on doing something with his life, and falling in love was never in the plans. The relationship between our couple will suffer when tragedy destroys Avery’s family, and Tyler is unable to come to terms with his guilt. Three years will pass before Tyler returns, and in the ensuing time life has changed for the small town and our story line heroine. The limited $ex scenes are intimate without the use of over the top graphic sexual text or language. WICKED LOVE has a different feel than many of Michelle’s previous story lines as though the story was written by someone else. The passive nature of the premise leaves the reader wondering about the missing years; the conflict between Avery and Tyler is very low key, and the resolution is too quick and too easy. There should have been more angst; more anger; more anything but when faced with the truth about the missing three years both of the leading characters smile, apologize and get on with their lives. The YA feel to the story line was disconcerting, and not something I wanted to read. Sadly, WICKED LOVE will not be on my list of recommended reads.

Title: Wicked Love - Wicked White Series 3 Author: Michelle A. Valentine Published: 5-21-2016 Publisher: Montlake Romance Pages: 210 Genre: Romance Sub Genre: New Adult & College ISBN: ASIN: B019GWOP2G Reviewer: DelAnne Reviewed For: NetGalley Rating: 4 stars . Tyler Mercer and Avery Jensen meet and share a special night, then Tyler walks away telling Avery it was a mistake because his music must come first and he doesn't have room for her in his life. That same night Avery's father brings a scandal so far reaching to the family that they have to move away. Coincidently they relocate to the same town Tyler is from. The one day three years later Tyler returns to town as Tyler White the drummer for the successful musical group Wicked White. After achieving the fane and fortune he promised his father he would on his death bed Tyler finds it worthless without the woman he loved and left behind to pursue it. Now e is back to ask her to forgivehim and accept his love once more? Can Avery let go of the pain and heartache of Tyler leaving her when she need him most? A sizzling romance with white hot love scenes. The two main characters are both coping with emotional pain and baggage of events from their individual and joined past. Each has mistakes and pain to overcome, but it just makes them seem more real. I think Avery should have had more of a sense of her own worth but I loved reading their story. The author shows that success isn't everything, but love is. I rated Wicked love 4 1/2 out of 5 stars. It moves at a quick pace so the reader does not become bored with few surprises thrown in to keep you wanting more. A short read for those who love rocker romances. Can be read as a stand-alone.

OMG! Michelle Valentine is a genius! I’ll admit, I liked the first book in this series. The second one wasn’t my cup of tea. BUT this one - I LOVED IT!!! Wicked White is a superstar rock band thrown together by a publishing company, basically to make money. The series looks at each member as individuals - who they are, what did they leave behind, and who do they want to be. Tyler is from a small country town, where he lives with his mom. Avery is from a big town, big house, and lots of money; until her father loses everything by embezzling. When they move in with her grandmother, she runs into Tyler again. Tyler helps her see that she doesn’t need the fancy clothes, the big house, and the money. Being happy is living simple. Soon they’re an item, but one devastating night changes everything. Tyler leaves, remembering a promise he made to his father, and soon he’s signed with on with Wicked White. It’s what he always wanted, right? This is not the Black Falcons. This is not making a band come together. It’s about the musicians and the fame. Sometimes fame and fortune looks great, but sometimes...sometimes it takes going home to realize that you’ve lost who you really are. I love this series - 5-stars for Tyler and Avery’s book!!

Avery has had a few really hard year in college. Her father has embezzled money from where he works and has declared bankruptcy, as a result her mother leaves him. Avery is trying to keep her head held high when finds out that her boyfriend is cheating on her with the head of her sorority. She tries to get revenge on his car and as result meets Tyler, a cute musician who convinces her to change her mind. When things go from bad to worse, Avery decides to leave college and move in with her father and grandma. Guess who she runs into at the local hardware store, Tyler! Will Avery and Tyler have a happy ending? I liked this new adult romance because it was an updated Gothic romance. I loved the plucky heroine, handsome hero, setting and plot. Overall, I wish that the ending didn’t feel so rush, but it was a great romance that I enjoyed reading. I was given a free copy for an honest review.

3,5 STARS I love this cover and that was the main reason I chose to give the book a try. Only after I started reading the story more, I thought I'd be great to check out the author and to my surprise, it was none other than the fantastic Michelle A. Valentine. I love her Black Falcon Series and that's why I knew that Wicked Love would make for an amazing read, as well. And I wasn't wrong. For such a short read, it's really sweet but also sad and heartfelt. It's definitely a story about personal growth and about what all you have to go through to become someone better. This story is basically about a new start in life. A city girl becomes a small town girl, a man who had it all, lost it all and a boy who dreamed big, turned big. But everything may not be as it seems. Someone who lost all might have just found his biggest treasure and someone who won might have lost something precious, sometihng he will never get back. So, Avery...I admit that at the beginning I wasn't a huge fan of her character, since she came off as this rich spoiled brat that needed to grow up fast but at the end I came to really like her. She goes through a lot but in the end I felt like that made her stronger and wiser. She knew when to forgive and to see the bigger picture, not just for herself but also for the people she loved. And as for Tyler, man, he sure made a mess. He started off as this sweet, carring boyfriend material and I really liked him. But then he goes and does something so stupid, I just can't even... I get his reasoning and why he was feeling the way he did, specially since we get his POV but that move near the end, nah. That put him straight into the a**hole box for me. Sorry (but not really)... Luckily he sees the mistake he made and tries to fix it but for me it was just a little too late. The big plus of this story are definitely the secondary characters. I loved them, especially Avery's gnadma and the little bundle of joy. She was sooo adorable, I just couldn't get enough of her. I hope some of the characters get their own stories, I would absolutelly read them! All in all, Wicked Love wasn't a bad read but it wasn't one of my favourites that's for sure. If you like this series or if just simply like the blurb, then go for it. Maybe you'll really enjoy it. :)

I received a advance copy from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. This book was filled with love, loss, anger, hope. forgiveness and second chances. Tyler has a dream to make it big as a Rock Star and get out of the small town he lives in and he is not going to let anything get in his way after he made a promise to his dad. Not even the beautiful girl he can't get off his mind since he first ran into her. Avery's life seems to be crumbling around her and when she is forced to move to a small town and not sure what she's going to do she runs into that sexy boy again. And things are about to change. I loved the plot and characters created. This book is told in the POV of both Tyler and Avery. There are so many twist and turns all the way to the very end. I loved the banter between all the characters. Have the Kleenex ready because it was an emotional read.

I must say I really enjoyed this one! I loved the characters of Avery and Tyler, well I loved Tyler until I didn't..... Avery came to live with her Grandmother after her father embezzled from his company and her idyllic life crumbled around her. I must admit she was a bit of a brat at first and it took a while to really get to like her but the longer she was there with her grandmother and she and Tyler got closer the nicer and more realistic she became. The relationship between Tyler and Avery was growing everyday until tragedy strikes and Tyler, filled with shame, walks out of her life. Now three years later he's back but Avery's not the sweet young girl anymore. She's had to move on and make the best of life. Will she be willing to listen to him and forgive??? I actually think more groveling was needed here but that's just me! Definitely a book I would recommend.
