Overview

College sweethearts London Uphill and Jared Kraft were inseparable. He was a rising baseball star with a promising future, and she seemed destined to become “Mrs. Kraft.” Then a tragic night and a series of devastating mistakes caused Jared to walk away from his life, leaving London without any explanation and tearing the couple apart.

Five years later, Jared has reinvented himself by putting down the bat and picking up a guitar to play for the red-hot band Wicked White. In all that time, London hasn’t gotten over her forever love—or the pain—despite seeking solace in the arms of the one man no one dreamed she’d run to.

When Wicked White’s lead singer goes MIA, Jared finds the time—and courage—to return to his hometown and face the mess he made. He’s shocked at how London’s life has changed, yet he’s determined to prove their love is worth fighting for. Is this breakup too big for any hope of a reunion tour? Or can London open her heart to Jared once again?

I like how in some chapters the author gives you insight on many things that happened to get the characters to were they are. Loved that you get to see Jared change and mature. This story has some serious deep struggles and I think it all was very well delivered because you worry for the characters and you also feel the dilemma along side them. I was worried of how it would end in a good note for everyone involved but I think the story ended the right way with the right amount of time to allow the characters to have a believable future.

London and Jarad had been together forever first as best friends then it grew to more while in college they became engaged. Jarad had become a star baseball player. Then there is a tragedy in Jarad’s life and he leaves with no goodbye nothing. Jarad remakes himself into a rockstar as a guitarist in Wicked White. After Jarad left his older brother Wes steps in which isn’t a problem as he is in love with London. Wes is there for London to cry on his shoulder about her shattered heart and broken dreams. Also to help his mom through his dad’s death as he was killed on a military mission. Then when the band is on break Jarad comes home. I think this novella could have been a whole lot more than it was. I don’t respect the way London forgave Jarad so easily. Tell me how she went to Jarad’s brother to eventually move on. I also felt Jarad was just plain stupid to leave London in the first place. Even though a novella I still felt it was rushed. But there was one shining light in this story it had to be Wes. I received an ARC of this story for an honest review.

WOW!!! A definite must read'. true love always prevails and I am glad Wes was able to find his happy ever after in the end when he did not think it was possible to move on from London.

5 star I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, grief, secrets, and heartbreak. If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first Wicked White (Wicked White, #1) This is London and Jared’s story. London and Jared were college sweethearts until tragedy struck and Jared walked away from everyone. Now years later while the band is on a break he is home. He knows he needs to make up for the past and he hopes he can reconnect with London. But what is London moved on? Can he face that the love of his life would no longer be available? Can he get her to love him again? Can London really allow Jared back into her life? She knows she never stopped loving him but can she really believe that this time he would stay for her? What happens when tragedy strikes again will he run? Or will he stay and fight for the one he has always loved? I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read. I highly recommend this book.

I received a free copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for a honest review. London has loved Jared Kraft since she was a kid. When tragedy strikes will her love be enough? Jared can't seem to get a handle on his life and feels he is only hurting those who love him the most. Will his decisions destroy the love he had with London? Will she ever be able to forgive him? Is he to late? I loved this emotional story!! I love Michelle's books and was a little disappointed with the first book in this series Wicked White so I was hesitant to read this one and I am so glad I did. It was about love, loss and finding ones self again. A great read!!!

I absolutely loved Wicked Reunion by by Michelle A. Valentine. It tugged at my heart over and over again, and I could not stop myself from hoping that the two main characters would somehow be able to find their happily ever after. I liked how the author switched between the past and the present, and varied the point of view of the characters. Although this is the second book from Ms. Valentine's Wicked White series, it can be enjoyed as a standalone. London Uphill and Jared Kraft were childhood friends that fell madly in love. They had their entire lives mapped out, including marriage, until a tragedy caused Jared to loose control. As a result, he lost his scholarship and future baseball career. He basically snapped, and left those that loved him to fend for themselves. After years of unhappiness, London and Jared's brother Wes, found some solace in each other, however London could never love Wes the way she loved Jared. It is five years later and Jared has returned home, albeit temporarily. His very popular rock band, Wicked White, is on hiatus, and Jared is finally in a place where he can face his demons from years ago. He is a changed man and he his hopeful that his mother, brother and London can find it in their hearts to forgive him. London and Jared have a few obstacles to overcome, but in the end, they are able to be happy. This is an engrossing story, and London and Jared are likable, complex and genuine. Their lives are replete with heartache, but they are able to overcome it and forge a future together. The secondary characters and subplots are just as engaging as London and Jared's love story. I found Jared's mother to be warm and kind, which added another interesting layer to the plot. Overall, this is a well-written second chance romance, with twists and turns that will keep you totally engaged. Complimentary copy provided by the publisher via NetGalley.

Great Book! This is a great book; this is the second book in the Wicked White series by Michelle Valentine. London Uphill and Jared Kraft were college sweethearts and inseparable. When a tragic night and a series of devastating mistakes happened, Jared decided to walk away from his life and London. It has been five years and Jared is now a guitar player for the hot band Wicked White. When Jared has time off he finds the courage to return to his hometown. He is surprised how his hometown and London has changed over the years. But he is determined to prove his love to London if he can convince her to forgive him. If you are looking for a great romance then you need to read this book. I am looking forward to the next book by this wonderful author. A Review copy was provided to me in exchange for a fair and honest review. The free book held no determination on my personal review.

3.5 stars---WICKED REUNION is the second installment in Michelle A.Valentine’s contemporary, new adult WICKED WHITE romance series. This is lead guitarist for the rock band Wicked White Jared Kraft, and primary school teacher London Uphill’s storyline-a second chance, of sorts, for two people whose lives imploded five years earlier. WICKED REUNION can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. There is a slight connection with Valentine’s Black Falcon series. Told from alternating first person points of view (Jared and London) as well as alternating past and present timelines wherein the present day events of WICKED REUNION run parallel and cross over with the events of book one WICKED WHITE, WICKED REUNION follows the before and after of a traumatic and tragic night in the life of Jared, and his brother Wes Kraft, and Jared’s fiancée London Uphill. Michelle A. Valentine pulls the reader into a heartbreaking and painful series of calamitous events (after the fact) all perpetrated and instigated by Jared Kraft and his need to lash out at the pain of losing someone close. What ensues is Jared’s need to get out of town, leaving his family and his fiancée behind without a goodbye or KMA. Five years will pass before Jared returns home to face his family and friends. WICKED REUNION is a roller coaster of events, flashbacks, memories and alternating timelines that follows Jared’s fall from grace, losing everyone that he loves, and in doing so walks directly into his rock and roll future in a matter of hours and days. While Jared’s star begins to rise on the rock and roll concert stage, London pines away back home hoping for the return of the only man she has ever loved. Five years will pass and our heroine is still worshiping at the altar of Jared Kraft even though he has yet to contact or acknowledge her existence the entire time. The personality and lack of emotional depth in our heroine, borders on obsession and psychotic. She is unable to let go of the past, so much so, that it affects every aspect of her life. There is no light at the end of the tunnel for London Uphill-she is a woman lost in a world of loss and grief. London’s love for Jared has never faltered in the five years since he walked away, and in all of that time, London has toyed with the heart of another man knowing he will never be the one she loves. Jared is a selfish and egotistical pr*ck: a rock star who wants center stage regardless of who and what the label says. His behavior towards London is reprehensible; his jealousy and obnoxious conduct is filled with temper tantrums, lashing out, and immature behavior. I felt there were no redeeming qualities in our storyline ‘hero’. It is only when he has to face what he has truly lost does Jared offer up an apology. As I stated in my opening remarks WICKED REUNION is a story of second chances-of sorts-because our couple do not reconcile or meet again until the final couple of chapters of the novel, and in this I had some issues with London’s easy acceptance and ability to take back the man that has caused her so much heartache and pain. London welcomes Jared home with open arms, but not everyone is accepting of his return. WICKED REUNION felt a bit disjointed in the telling of the story but the larger issue is London’s ‘Debbie Downer’ throughout the entire story. The finale was too quick and too neatly packaged-a frustrating end to an over dramatic situation. The conflict and its resolution was barely a

When I heard about Wicked Reunion, I was super excited to read it. I loved Wicked White, so I was really stoked to be back in this rock-n-roll world. Wicked Reunion is told from dual points of view and follows the story of Jared and London. Jared and London had an amazing relationship. They had been together for years; through thick and thin. Nothing could break these two apart, or so they thought. When tragedy strikes, Jared’s life will spin out of control. He will make some big decisions that he will soon regret….London was devastated when Jared broke her heart. For years, she held onto hope that he would come back to her. However, with each year that passed, she quickly realized that she needed to try to move on. And boy did she try. She tried so hard to move on and find happiness, but Jared was always on her mind. When the lead singer for Wicked White goes MIA, Jared finds himself returning home. However, he’s not prepared for how much life has changed without him. Will Jared be able to salvage the life he once knew or has too much time gone by to repair the damage that he caused?? Wicked Reunion was a quick and easy read for me. I am a huge fan of Second Chance Romances and I was really intrigued by Jared and London’s story. I enjoyed London’s character. I felt awful for the way things went down with her and Jared. I really wanted things to be better for her and I wanted her to find some happiness after all that happened. I did have a few problems with Wicked Reunion. I felt like a lot of the story was rushed. Yes, it is a novella, so I do expect things to be fast paced, but I would have liked to have seen a little more development of Jared and London’s relationship. I felt like things progressed way too quickly for them. I didn’t like how quickly London forgave Jared. I mean, I don’t know about you guys, but if someone I’m desperately in love with destroys me and I’ve been pinning over him for a few years, I’m going to want this guy to grovel and prove himself worthy of me. I also didn’t like who London chose to move on with. I feel like there would have been a lot of conflict with her choice and that once again, there would be no way that Jared would accept that and if London really loved Jared the way that she claimed, there is no way she could try to move on with the person that she did. Overall, Wicked Reunion was just an ok read. I think it had a ton of potential, but sadly, it missed the mark for me. I really wanted more from this story and these characters. There was so much that I didn’t agree with and wish that it would have been handled a lot differently. I honestly think that this is going to one of those stories that you’re either going to love or going to hate. And while it wasn’t a big hit for me, I’m still glad I checked this story out.

This one was just ok for me. What I didn't care for was the story rather than anything wrong with the makeup of the book. It has great writing, an interesting group of characters and it flows along nicely. What I couldn't get past was the hurt that was piled on Wes for the happiness of Jared and London. Jared was wrong disappearing the way he did years before but what the hell was London thinking??? While it had an HEA of sorts Wes was still left hanging so it didn't give me that feel good I read romance for.
