As a fan of Ms. Craft's, I was intrigued by this title. From the beginning, I was caught up in mystery, murder and all-too-human intrigue. Clea Wilde owns and sings at a thriving night club. A beautiful free spirit, she has it all going on. A record mogul is in love with and wants to marry her. He is set to push her songs to the top and she likes the thought. She admires  him well enough and tells herself it could work. But Clea's heart has been shattered once. She and Dr. Bob Redding, a handsome, caring soul had had a glorious love affair, had planned to marry. The only thing was that his mother, a socially prominent woman from an old line African-American family hated her. The mother felt that Clea didn''t begin to be good enough for her son, and she had her own choice of wives for him. Clea was far too proud to marry into heartbreak, and she broke up with Bob.   Now he's back after several years away. He is still in love with her and determined that this time they will marry, And Clea finds that her  heart belongs to this man, no less than her body. He is the only true soulmate she has ever known. But her life now begins to be more deeply threatened by someone who in the beginning sent strange e-mails. Now he is upping his game and begins threatening her life outright. It's plain he knows  her every move. Furious, Bob insists on moving in with her. But even in a separate bedroom, the walls between them scorch with aching passion.  How can it end? With the fiend at her throat declaring that he will soon have her in his crosshairs? Or with Bob and a police officer friend triumphantly save her for a long life with Dr. Redding?

I picked this book up on a whim because I needed to read something while I traveled. I was pleasantly suprised by this book. It had me sucked in to the story right from the begining. It had a lot of romance and mystery - great combo!! Clea did some dumb things for a women who was being threatened with murder. Her husband was just perfect in everyway - not realistic. Overall this was a good read. I would read another book by this author!
