Overview

The only thing that frightens shapeshifter Selene Rhodes more than the full moon is the idea of falling in love.

Selene Rhodes has lived her whole life with a terrible secret: not only can she take the form of any animal at will, but once a month the full moon transforms her into a fierce wolf-creature without a human conscience. Managing her condition means living by a strict routine, and more importantly, abstaining from intimate relationships with human beings. Selene is convinced that love and friendship can only bring her pain.

Forensic pathologist Eve Thomas is well-acquainted with the pain of romantic love. Swearing off relationships after having her heart broken by a cheating ex, Eve throws herself into her work: catching murderers. When Selene comes to her aid after an attack by a masked man in Golden Gate Park, Eve is shocked by how powerfully she is drawn to her mysterious savior.

Shaken by her own feelings for Eve, Selene is even more terrified to realize she isn’t even close to being the scariest monster stalking San Francisco. There is someone out in the city who is killing for pleasure, and his next target is the one woman he thinks might be able to stop him: Eve.

Meet the Author

Born in a suburb of Detroit, Michigan, Meghan O'Brien relocated to Windsor, California in October 2005. As a recent transplant, she's enjoying the moderate weather and gorgeous scenery of the Bay Area. Meghan lives with her partner Angie, their two-year-old son, three cats, and three dogs. Yes, it can be just as chaotic as it sounds.

Meghan works as a web developer for a major corporation, but her real passion is writing. From her humble beginnings creating numerous "books" out of construction paper and crayons as soon as she learned to write, to her two published novels and various anthology contributions in the past five years, writing is what makes her feel most complete.

I have been waiting patiently for this book to be released since I first read Thirteen Hours in 2010. Wild was very much worth the wait. This book was absolutely amazing. It had me completely mesmerized and I could barely put it down. I love a great story with both romance and supernatural. The only thing better would be a sequel.

I truly enjoy shifter stories but I have never had the pleasure of reading one so well written or so hot. Even for a Bold Strokes Book it was erotic and exotic! The mystery of a serial killer on the hunt of our Hero's mate, the newness of their relationship and really a whole lot of new firsts for her made this a story I couldn't put down. My heart ached for poor Selene as she struggled to keep her love and her secret, afraid of loosing Eve either to death or by deception. I was thrilled, shocked, frightened and worried for them... especially as the killer upped his cat and mouse game. In the end all was how it should be and I was finally left at peace. What a ride! In the past year I have grown fond of reading books about gay couples. I really enjoyed this piticular story. The relationship is formed at the beginning instead of the end like most books. It gives you a chance to get more connected with the relation and anticipate it the whole book. Thank you for the great read.

I loved every moment of reading this book. I couldn't put it down for even a moment. The mixture of the storylines was well done and kept the flow of the book on track. Here to hoping that there may be a sequel to this one.
