In Willow Springs nothing much ever happens, but when the new folks move in next door to Sara Sellers, all bets are off. What Sara doesn't know about the strange family can hurt her. Sara's writing a book, widowed, too young to be retired, and is so lonely she even catches herself dreaming of romance like she found at eighteen. She thinks of Stuart Grayson, the only man she was ever in love with, who is on his way back to town to look her up. Over time, Sara's writing and dreaming become entangled with what's going on next door. Although Sara tries to reason away what's happening, there's a part of her that says the woman and two little children next door can't wait, the man is killing them; and another part of her that says Stuart just might be telling the truth about why he broke her heart.

A great example of true writing and art!
The characters are so real and human. Really a fantastic read! I found myself laughing out loud at some of the 'southernisms'. I love this author, I can't wait for the next one!!
