About the Author
Written by radio broadcaster Angela Allen, who spent the first 20 years of her working life in radio and pursuing Hollywood before starting her job as a claims rep with Social Security in 2005. She has two masters degrees from the University of Southern Indiana and now writes and speaks on Social Security benefits (retirement, disability, SSI, Medicare, etc.). A self-described "Social Security benefits wonk," Angela is concerned about increasingly strained SSA field offices with overwhelming workloads and dwindling personnel and resources.
