I read one book of Iris' about a year ago, and I've not ready any author since. The characters are amazing and there is always at least one I can identify with. I ordered this entire series of 3 and loved them all. The characters, the plot, and the history kept me never wanting to put it down!!!

The setting is 1500 Renaissance, Italy. The adventure, danger, and romance between Lionello Andreas and Sanchia will keep the pages turning. After reading this book you will definitely want to read the rest of the triology, Storm Winds just as equally fantastic and Reap the Wind.

The Wind Dancer Series is one of the best series I have ever read. No need to read them in order because all of them have their own story to tell. Brilliantly written. One of Iris Johansen's best. When I read these, I never wanted them to end. If you like romance, adventure, and a great story line...read these!

I loved how although this is a book of fiction, it contained many historical facts.

Iri Johansen has become one of my favorite authors. Her novels, especially the Wind Dancer series, are truly compelling in every way. The way she weaves in historicAl facts and fiction together make the series come alive. The Wind Dancer is just the beginning of a series of adventures in pain, sorrow, love, and passion. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a truly well written, imaginative novel. Once you read this book, you can't help but read Storm Winds and Reap the Wind. Even after you read all three, you'll want more.
