I really enjoyed it, and I can't wait until 'book 2' comes out with details of how these relationships end up. There are several reasons I think I liked it so much. One is the geographic familiarity throughout, including some of my favorite places here in Texas. I can't think of a better place to heal than by water. Also, being an email freak, I found myself anxiously awaiting each email sent by the characters. I could always relate to the ones between the friends (any woman is so lucky if she has a friend like these two have in each other). As depressing as the cancer part was, it was also uplifting in the end because my dad is going through cancer treatment right now.

Just finished reading Wind in the Face and I didn't want it to end. What a wonderful insight the author gave into human nature and women's friendships and emotions.

...Began reading as soon as I received my book and couldn't put it down. The author had me holding my breath until the last few pages, hoping the ending would not be sad. I wanted to know what would happen next. Identified with one of the characters especially as when my sisterinlaw had cancer she didn't want any of us to call or visit so the story helped me relate to those feelings our family experienced. Will the author write about these characters in the future...I hope so.
