4 stars I purchased Wine and Her New Year Cowboy:A Citizen Soldier Series:Guarding the Hearts in the Pocono Valley book 4/Evie and Lucas a Harland County Crossover by Donna Michaels and this review was given freely. This Holiday based romance was a little surprising. I thought from the last book the matchup would be Keiffer and Evie but instead we have one of the Texas, Harland Cowboys and National Guardsman, Lucas relocating to the Poconos. Drama comes in the form of Lucas being appointed guardian of a sister that he never new post the death of his father that he also did not know. Ironically just when Jill's cousin Evie swears she is taking a break from men, her steamy romance begins with the strong, caring and patient Lucas. Evie's sweet but interfering matchmaking family set the scene, the unfiltered Grandmother Nona adds humor, a long ago misunderstanding provides angst, and another Wyne milestone provides completeness.
