A Powerful Story Set Against the Backdrop of Today's Israel

Nothing in Abigail MacLeod's life as a wife, a mother, and a teacher has prepared her for what she will experience during her summer in Israel. At forty-two, her life is in chaos, even before she leaves home—her marriage is dissolving before her very eyes, her faith is in shambles. This pilgrimage to Israel was supposed to be a new beginning for her. But by the end of the first day, she is forced to board an Israeli jetliner in spit of a bomb threat, and watches helplessly as a kind, fatherly gentleman she befriended on the plane dies in her arms.

This is a summer Abby will spend learning about archaeology, delving into the past. And it's a summer that will change her life in ways she never imagined.

Lynn has a way of putting you 'into' the story. But best of all she writes meaty Christian fiction that has everything a story should have to intrigue you and bless you -- this one is no exception. Eve's Daughters was my favorite but this one runs a close 2nd! OK LYNN -- lets have MORE books out soon!!!!!

What a great story. All of Lynns books keep you on edge not wanting to put the book down. This is great to see into the lifestyles of different people and cultures. such an inspiring book. She really puts things into perspective of some peoples true struggles with the christion faith.

Lynn Austin is a gifted writer. This is the second book I've read of hers and I'm finding that each book is better than the last. It's very refreshing to read well written Christian fiction that is historically accurate. I have always been a Francine Rivers fan and have now found another author that I like every bit as much. Would highly recommend.

Very easy reading, from the beginning to the end. I felt a kinship with the characters, as if they had become my dearest friends. Inspiring reading. Reminds me of my many blessings.
