What a great little book with little poems. It is his style of writing that touches the heart. Knowing that he had cancer when he wrote it put a little different spin on it yet cancer was only mentioned a time or two and not in a heavy way at all. I gave this as gifts too.

If I were asked what book someone should read to fall in love with poetry, this is the one! I reread Winter Morning Walks whever I find myself needing another 'Aha' moment. I can't say enough about Mr Kooser's work!
