Winter Snow Fun: God Gives Us Friends When We’re Ready for Adventure (Tales of Buttercup Grove) by [Dunham, Wendy]I was given this book by NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. This book, Winter Snow Fun is part of a series called Tales of Buttercup Grove. Skunk and Raccoon wake up to find the thing they have been waiting for, the first snowfall of the season. They invite all of their winter friends for a fun play time. Then the snow begins to melt. Does this mean the end to the amazing play time? All of the friends learn that fun times don't have to end just because plans change. This was such a cute book. The illustrations and the story are sure to catch the attention of children. Showing children that they do not need to feel disappointment just because plans change, they can still play with their friends. I loved this book and recommend it for children, parents, grandparents or any adult to share with a child.

These charming woodland animals are quickly captivating our family. We love the short chapters and whimsical illustrations. The size of the hard cover book is perfect for little hands. The encouragement to not let unmet expectations or missed plans ruin a day is a great lesson for all of us to read over and over. This book inspires creativity and reminds us that it's important to have friends to embark on adventures with. I was provided a copy of this book from Harvest House Publishers in exchange for an honest review.

My five-year-old son claims Winter Snow Fun as his favorite out of the Buttercup Grove books, because of all the fun the animal friends have together. We love how they use their imaginations and make the best of the weather (definitely a great lesson for winter!). The story is delightfully cozy. Your kids will love the snowy fun found in this book! I was provided a copy of this book for review. All opinions are my own.

I preordered Winter Snow Fun as soon as I learned that Wendy Dunham and Michal Sparks teamed together once again for another Tales Of Buttercup Grove book for young readers. My now seven-year-old daughter and I discovered this series last winter when I was part of a launch team for A Windy Spring Day and Sunflower Summer. Winter Snow Fun is perfect for the child in kindergarten through third grade. My daughter is a late bloomer as far as reading goes, but she is able to attempt many of the words on her own. She mostly loves me to read the story to her. We both love the charming illustrations and the simple message of friendship and faith. We found the surprise ending absolutely delightful. I highly recommend this book.

Winter Snow Fun is the tale of friends waiting for the first snowfall. When they wake up to their world blanketed by white fluffy snow, the fun begins for our animal friends. They sled, they build a snowman together, and they have a snowball fight of a different kind. In this story, children will learn plans often change unexpectedly but it doesn't always mean the end of our fun. The characters in this series are endearing. The group of animal friends will teach children the deep value of friendship and the encouragement which is found in friends. There are also many free resources available at the website - talesofbuttercupgrove.com. Be sure to take advantage of them as they beautifully go along with each book. Puzzles, mazes, and word search puzzles are just a few of the activities waiting for your child. The series would make a wonderful gift for young readers. **I was provided a copy of this book by Harvest House Publishers for review.
