If you're a fan of scorching hot books with a knight in shining armor saving a damsel in distress, then this is the book for you! Colby is on a mission when he accidentally ends up saving Mia. Mia is a psychologist who has unwittingly ended up in the middle of a terrifying hunt for a package left behind from one of her former patients, who has ended up dead.  From the very first encounter, the two of them have a smouldering attraction to each other. Colby remains steadfast in his affections, but Mia keeps going off and on. We know that he is serious about pursuing something with her, but Mia's inconsistency makes her harder to read. Colby has a ready-made family; Mia is not used to having a loving family. She never thought she wanted one, but now is changing her mind. This blooming relationship takes place in the middle of so much action and danger as they end up mixed up with the Colombian cartel that you can't help but to cheer them on as the thrills of the rescues engulf you. Their relationship is a little difficult to believe, because of the instant attraction and the intensity of the attraction. However, it does seem to fit in with what you would expect in a made-for-Hollywood movie. This is a fictional story, and many women would want to be swept off of their feet by a strong man such as Colby! It isn't going to be for everyone, but many will enjoy this story. This does appear to be the first book in a series, with the promise of even more action and fire with more hottie special ops men to come. I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

The Titan group is some tough guys fighting the cartel in colombia. 263 pages of love and adventure. I enjoyed this book. But didn't like the bad language. I know you authors can write a book that is edited better.

## Good, but could've been so much better. The chemistry between the hero and heroine was definitely there. And the manly banter between the teammates was there. There was action and humor throughout, so THAT wasn't the problem. The problem was the dialogue was hard to understand at times. It just didn't make sense. Not to mention it jumped around like crazy. I had to go back several times to figure out if I'd missed something. Also, the way Colby kept calling the heroine "doll" was so distracting. "Hiya doll". Who talks like that? It sounded like a bad black and white movie. The part I liked best was that there wasn't instant forgiveness! That the heroine made him work a little after the way he dumped her was awesome. I would like to read again, I'll just know not to expect too much.

Really disappointed with this book. Colby, the save-the-damsel hot operative almost seemed like a characture to me. Good looks...check.  Under cover operative...check. A surprising sensetive side that emerges...check.  Mia, the psychologist that gets caught up in a covert type retrival mission.  Sweet looks...check. Hidden fire...check. Gutsey gal...check. Right from the start of the book, with all the danger and bad guys and being smacked around, they notice how hot each other is and end up in a passionate embrace/kiss/grope.  It doesn't happen like that folks. I love this genre of book and read a lot of them but I just couldn't keep  going with this one. Maybe it got better as the story progressed but I just could not keep reading.

Winter’s Heat is a great start to Cristin Harber’s romantic suspense series.  The book has a dramatic action-oriented beginning that grabs you and doesn’t let go until the end.  The fast-paced storyline is packed with danger, suspense, and passion that really doesn’t slow down into the last few chapters, and by then, I wanted to shake some sense into the stubborn, very sexy, Colby Winters, an elite member of the Titan Group, a security company comprised of several hard-core warriors whose stories have yet to be told.  Colby and Mia’s unlikely alliance takes them on a thrilling but terrifying journey where they must battle with and try to escape from numerous antagonists sent by a Columbian cartel drug and human trafficking lord, Juan Carlos Silva, who desperately wants intel that Mia has found. Mia and Colby have a less than stellar beginning together, as they try to figure out the other’s motives. Mia certainly doesn’t make things easy for Colby and she fights him every step of the way, initially. Colby has a lot to learn about the feisty spitfire of a woman who looks like a sweet, mild-mannered librarian on the surface, but underneath has the determination, fight, and seductive passion that draw him to her like a moth to light.  Both of them form preconceived notions about the other right from the start, and I enjoyed watching their relationship grow as those superficial layers are pulled away revealing their vulnerabilities.  Despite their initial antagonism toward one another, the sexual chemistry is strong, yet I was somewhat surprised by how quickly their first kiss came.  It completely catches Mia off guard, and me as well, but it seems where Colby is concerned, Mia doesn’t hesitate. I tend to like the sexual tension to be drawn out longer leading to more intimate encounters.  Despite this, though, Harber does write some sizzling love scenes for these two characters that unravel the emotional barriers both have already set in place.  I like that the outcome of events wasn’t always predictable and that the series of crises escalate the danger and raise the stakes keeping my interest throughout.  The Titan Team’s offensive attacks are descriptive in painting a verbal picture of the danger and building suspense. I look forward to continuing this series.  I received a copy of this book from the author for an honest review.

This first book in the Titan series makes for an engaging read that lays compelling groundwork for future stories by introducing us to a rugged yet immensely likable group of men traveling the world to bring the bad guys to justice. From its action-packed sequences to pulse pounding moments of danger to unrelenting sexual tension between the main protagonists, this story kept me fully immersed in the outcome of its characters and greatly anticipating the next release. Colby is a very capable and rugged man with a surprisingly sensitive side that he occasionally wears on his sleeve, especially when dealing with his daughter. He thinks his current mission will be simple but once the feisty Mia shows up everything seems to go wrong and he's forced into keeping her safe and staying one step ahead of danger while fighting their feelings. He's immediately drawn to Mia, when they're not engaged in verbal banter, which results in a relationship that complicates things as he doesn't think himself worthy of Mia because of his dangerous job. It will take a lot to change his mind but Mia's definitely up for the job. Mia's a spunky and strong-willed woman not afraid to stick up for herself. She didn't have an easy childhood which has left her jaded about men, the prospect of family, and HEA. This leads to some conflicting emotions that make their burgeoning relationship even rockier as she's not sure she's ready for an established family. Unlike Colby, it was harder to read her true emotions but I still applaud her strength. Along with a main couple you can't help but root for comes a group of men whose brotherly interactions are charming and endearing and bode well for future stories. Their interactions were playfully boyish and put a smile on my face. From the moment Colby and Mia meet they're on a pulse pounding journey from one exotic place to another with their vividly depicted surroundings to the cleverly written mystery with satisfying twists and turns I was fully immersed in the story. Though a few elements are cliched with villains that are stereotypical I still found much to recommend this story and look forward to the next installment in the Titan series.

This story starts off exciting and never stops. Colby Winters is an operative for a private security company called Titan. He is sent on a "cake walk" mission to collect a package. But when he goes to retrieve it, Mia Kensington gets it first. AND there are other men from a cartel trying to get it at the same time. They kidnap Mia and Colby goes after her and the package. It gets more exciting with every chapter. Trying to keep Mia safe has Colby moving them to a safe house which turns out not to be so safe. This book is fast-paced and full of action. It will keep you on the edge-of-your-seat and flipping pages to find out what kind of trouble they will get into next and how Colby gets them out of it. He always does because he is the MOST badass alpha ever. You can't call this just a romance. It is romantic with lots of spicy scenes but also a very exciting thriller.

Was ok A good start to a story. Seemed kind of un-finished in places. And would have been nice to see more of the characters development with each other. Instead of experiencing the closeness of all the relationships, you have to take the author's word for it. Overall an ok book.

If you like suspense, alpha males, strong women, a fast paced books , romance and a complex storyline, then you will enjoy this book. I absolutely loved it. It's the first of Ms Harber's series, Titan Security. In this one we have Colby Winters, an ops working for Titan and assigned to retrieve a package for a client, and Mia, a military psychologist that was given the "package" by a patient, so she could safe guard it. The Colombian cartel wants the item and will stop at nothing to get it. Winter's is just as determined to get the package and safe the girl. It also brings to light the fact that our childhood does in fact mold us to who we are and what we perceive what we should do as an adult. So tighten your seatbelt for a rollercoaster ride . You will not regret it.

I liked this book. However, I did have a little issue with the insta-love. I just didn't feel their connection. There is a lot of action that keeps you entertained. And I did like the characters. I would def recommend.
