Reetha B. Whittier was born August 5th 1935 in Alamosa, Colorado and reared in the San Luis Valley. She was the first born of farming parents and remained the only child for eight years until three more children made the family complete.
Affectionately, she recalls these transitions of her family's life as they coped with post depression times. Wishbone, her first published collections of stories, is dotted with humor that makes for very rewarding reading.
Reetha is now retired and living by the Cumberland River in Defeated Creek, Tennessee. She enjoys writing, crafts, art, wood working and feeding the many birds of the area. She also enjoys boating with the love of her life, J.C. Henry.
