About the Author

When Olivia Hardin began having strange movie-like dreams in her teens, she had no choice but to begin putting them to paper. Before long the writing bug had her and she knew she wanted to be a published author. Several rejections plus a little bit of life later, and she was temporarily “cured” of the urge to write. That is until she met a group of talented and fabulous writers who gave her the direction and encouragement she needed to get lost in the words again.

Olivia’s attended three different universities over the years and toyed with majors in Computer Technology, English, History and Geology. Then one day she heard the term road scholar and she knew that was what she wanted to be. Now she “studies” anything and everything just for the joy of learning.  She's also an insatiable crafter who only completes about 1 out of 5 projects, a jogger who hates to run, and she’s sometimes accused of being artistic.

A native Texas girl, Olivia lives in the beautiful Lone Star state with her husband, Danny and their puppy, Bonnie.

I got this book as a kindle freebie on Amazon. It sat on my shelf for a while until one day I came across it and decided to finally pick it up. Yeah, so I am glad I did. *Kent* *sigh* You've gotta appreciate a sexy guy in any book. To be a fly on the wall in many scenes of this book, I would love to be. I liked his character and his part of the story that unfolded as the book continued. I was a little sad that Devan jumped so headfirst into everything that was thrown at her. She was just too accepting of all the life altering changes that went on. Devan was adaptable yes, but also a little suicidal in my opinion. The plot to the book was fast paced and enjoyable. I never felt like the story lagged at any point. I read this book in a day. The storyline was fresh and I loved the inclusion of all the different types of magical creatures. There were fairies, vampires, witches and bad guys selling people. What more could you want in your characters? This was a great adult paranormal read. I would recommend it to all lovers of this genre. Because it's made with awesome sauce, I give it four glittery stars:)

I loved this book! Olivia Hardin does an excellent job in describing her characters to the point that you feel like you know them. I loved that Devan was a strong female lead and the steamy moments between her and Kent. This was very well written and edited and i'm very much looking forward to the next in the series!

Worth reading. Has a bit of a different take on witches, which is what I liked the most about it. It was a little confusing at first, but things started making sense the more I read. Will probably read more in the future from this author.

All I can say is I loved this book. This has become one of my favorite new series for the year and an author to watch. From the beginning you are pulled into the story. You meet Devan, who is on a mission, personal but serious. You meet Kent, who is on the same mission but with different orders ad priorities. Devan does not know who or what she is. But Kent's friend and coworker, Langston, does. We see them all come together to achieve their goals. And to watch Devan learn to control and use her talents. This was just a great start to a new series. One that I can not wait to read more of. The story is well done and put together and the characters are interesting and fun to watch. If you like paranormal check this out right away and keep this author on your watch list.

Olivia Hardin’s writing style reminds me a bit of Jacquelyn Frank’s in that a passage might focus on one character’s point of view, but we could still shift slightly to know what others are thinking or feeling. The tone of the story is also reminiscent of JF by having fairly demure love scenes and a big focus on the characters, story, and world itself rather than the individual events that transpire, such as every little thing during a fight scene. As for the story, it grips you from the beginning by throwing you directly into the middle of a mission that Devan, Kent, and crew are on. It adds mystery by being vague and not telling you anything about what’s going on. My only problem with this was the fact that it stayed that way for the first few chapters before slowly beginning to give you some insight into what’s going on, and it take quite a while before revealing the larger, overall conflict in the big picture. This also made the validity of some of their plans come into question, because without knowing the truth, you can’t understand how a certain strategy could ever be viable. Moving on to the characters, I like Devan and Kent, was suspicious of Roon at first, but ultimately I think Langston (aka Andre – read to find out why, you’ll love the reference!) was my favorite. The connection and chemistry between the characters was very believable and often made for some funny moments. Let’s face it, no one is truly comfortable with someone, even your best friend, knowing what you’ve been up to for…hours upon hours *wink*. My favorite part of the whole thing though was the world. It was complex, it includes different species, and the potential for so much more. The possibilities of what to expect are truly endless in both the plot and the magic. Mysterious, exciting, and mesmerizing, Witch Way Bends will take you on a magical journey where everything is possible and you should be ready for anything. Don’t miss this great start to a series with so much potential!

The beginning was a little slow and confusing and the entire story a little TOO scenery descriptive, but the more I read, the more I realized I couldnt put it down until it was done! You, Ms. Hardin, are a very talented author which, I for one, cant WAIT to read more of your wonderful enchantting stories :)

Great book overall - some scenes get extremely intense unexpectedly but turns into a sweet passionate story of love, family, and finding your destiny. Love the fantastical aspects Hardin brings.

This book has everything...starts out mysterious...I was like- "what's happening"? But in a good interesting way. Creative, paranormal, romantic, HOT, suspense. Quick, 1-2 day read.

As you begin reading, you will keep thinking, "What's going on?" You'll wonder if there is a prologue or a previous book that you missed. Stick with it. All will be revealed. Unlike most books you've read, the author doesn't include a lot of backstory or flashbacks. You learn things as the characters discover them. It's a different approach, and I enjoyed it. 400+ nook pages. Typical paranormal romance. Sexy. Recommend.

Devan has it in her head to stop her father’s child trafficking. So she joins Kent Crosby and his team. Although Devan knows nothing about the paranormal she is going to be jumping head long into that life very quickly. Kent’s team all have various abilities and Devan herself is a rare combination of paranormal. And her father’s trafficking? He is actually selling witch children to vampires that more powerful from the blood. But when she learns of her past, others learn about her too and now she is a major target. I really liked this world, there were a lot of paranormal people/creatures. I liked the idea of the story and the twist of Devan’s heritage. But, this is a first in a series and I find it is a little rough. We start the story in the middle of a conversation and doesn’t really explain what you came into. The ending was a lot like that too. In understand cliff hangers but this was a bit excessive. This is a rough start to the series although I think that it could be a good series. I’m curious to see what happened in the next book.
