Witches Protection Program is the first book by Michael Phillip Cash that I have read. The attention grabbing title is what made me give the book a try. My heart wrenched immediately for Wes Rockville who was transferred out of his dream job, by his own father, after his very first assignment ended badly. It is impossible not to have empathy for him when you learn that his siblings are over-achievers who are his father’s pride and joy and that Wes has never measured up to his father’s unrealistic expectations. It is admiral that he worked so hard to overcome his learning disability in order to reach is goals. It is too bad that his wretched father didn’t acknowledge his accomplishments. This transfer landed Wes in a secret unit called the Witches Protection Program. The W.P.P. offered protection to good witches (Davina) from bad witches (Willa). Since Wes, like most of the world, had no idea that witches were not fictional characters, he initially believed that his brother was playing a joke on him. At the W. P.P., a veteran named Alastair Verne partnered with Wes. They were tipped off, by an informant, to a diabolical plan for world domination by the CEO of the Pendragon Cosmetic Company. I admit that the plan brought on a fit of giggles when I learned that it involved face cream and witches DNA. While investigating this tip, they discovered that the heiress, Morgan Pendragon was in danger from her Aunt Bernadette, the CEO of the P.C.C. Unfortunately, Morgan wasn’t interested in being protected by the W.P.P. because she didn’t believe that she was really in danger. In fact, she had her own plans to foil her aunt’s scheme. If you are looking for an entertaining and amusing, witchy adventure, this tale is for you. I enjoyed the book so much that I purchased the audio-book version which is available on audible.com. I received a free copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for my unbiased review.

Reviewed by Liz Konkel for Readers' Favorite Witches Protection Program by Michael Phillip Cash finds Wes Rockville confronted with the last thing he expected: witches. After Wes has failed to transport one prisoner, he's given one last chance to prove himself and save his career. His father sends him to the Witches Protection Program to work with Alastair Verne. His first assignment is to investigate a cosmetic company's upcoming release of Pendragon Glow face cream, which turns out to be a witch's sinister plan of a global takeover. Wes isn't sure how much he believes in witches until he's tasked with protecting the cosmetic company heiress, Morgan Pendragon, who happens to have a few spells up her sleeve. Michael Phillip Cash has a sharp humor, often drawing it out of action moments, and through Wes as he learns about witches and magic. Wes is the outcast of his perfect family, not quite living up to what his brother has accomplished, so he's sent to this secret program to find a place for himself. Alastair has been at the job a while so he has all the answers and brings Wes into this hidden world of magic and spells, good and evil. Morgan knows there's something going on with the glow cream that her aunt hasn't shared, but she's also loyal and has a deep understanding of right and wrong. She's very strong-willed and is anything but a damsel in distress, which makes her so likable. Witches Protection Program is a unique gem, one that's fast-paced with twists, action, and fun characters.

Michael Phillip Cash writes some great novels and I am excited to read Witches Protection Program. I am a sucker for a great cover and that gun has me very curious. What do you think it contains? Witches Protection Program by Michael Phillip Cash is Charmed. The magic and romance runs AMOK. The serious and humorous collide in this wickedly fun paranormal story of greed justice and romance. I received a copy of Witches Protection Program from Michael Phillip Cash in return for an honest review.

Witches Protection Program is about an secret 232 year old program that protects witches and an cop that is unexpectedly thrown into the mix. WPP helps protect the good Divina witches against the evil Willas witches. Wes is an law enforcement officer who messed up on the job and his father being his superior, sends him to the WPP without telling him what he is getting himself into. Morgan is the niece of a supposed Divina but soon finds out that is not the case and with magic of her own, not everything she has been told is the truth. As Wes starts his new job with WPP, he isn't believing everything he is seeing or hearing but his new boss Alastaire who is harboring secrets of his own, shows him the ropes and gets him to believe enough to save Morgan from her Aunt. With Morgan's Aunt is trying to put out a face cream that will have dire effects on women worldwide, the race is on to put a stop to the shipments of the cream. It all ends on a rooftop with secrets coming out about everyone and Wes understanding this world of Witches that he now protects. The true ending will put a smile on your face on how Wes get himself into trouble in the first place! The more I read books that Michael Cash puts out, the more I love them, it's everything a horror fan wants! It a fast paced read with tons of action scenes that will have you rooting for the good guys and I didn't see the major secret that Alastaire was hiding. I truly believe the ending was perfect and it will make you laugh out loud for the reason that Wes got himself into everything! I can only imagine where this series is going next but you can be sure that I'm gonna be reading it! Thank You to Michael Phillip Cash for writing a story that I can't wait to see what is to come for the Witches Protection Program!! I received this book from the Author in exchange for a honest review.

Poor Wes. He’s failed again and now he’s been given one last chance to prove himself qualified to be in law enforcement. He’s sure it’s a prank when he’s assigned to the Witches Protection Program. It’s no hoax. But it takes some convincing for Wes to believe in witches. He gets it in spades. His first assignment, protect a witch, heiress Morgan Pendragon, from her evil aunt. Her aunt is cooking up a diabolical scheme to rule the world. Wes will have to catch on quick if he’s to save Morgan and himself from a witches brew of trouble. This was a fun story with some likable and not so likable characters. Got to take the good with the bad. Wes is a pain in the beginning. Then he finds his place and becomes someone to cheer for. Morgan is a reluctant witch, wanting nothing to do with her aunt or the other witches and their schemes. They’re not going to give her a choice though. There’s some cool weapons, compelling characters, and a showdown at the end that I wish I could see for myself. Just imagine the pile-up when drivers look up and see witches flying in the sky. I like a good witch, but I have a thing for the bad ones too. There’s one, Morgan’s aunt, who will chill you to the bone. Too powerful for anyone’s good. Grab a broomstick and hang on tight. It’s a bumpy ride.

Wes was on the police force, an elite team. He made a mistake and was reassigned. His whole family was in law enforcement. He was transferred to a department that protects good witches. I read about 1/2 of this book but it just didn't keep my interest. It was very slow moving. **I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review**

Wes Rockville is a young police officer with other problems that he is trying to work through. Unfortunately things get worse and his father ends up assigning him to the Witches Protection Program. The first problem for Wes is trying to wrap his mind around the fact that witches and other paranormal creatures are real. Then he is stuck with the grumpy old detective partner that doesn’t plan on making this transfer easy. But Wes is going to try his best. He is to protect Morgan Pendragon from her aunt. The question is if he is going to make it through is first assignment and keep Morgan alive. I love anything of Michael Phillip Cash and Witches Protection Program does not disappoint. I loved the story. I felt for poor Wes being the one failure in the family. But he keeps trying and ends up being a great officer. Morgan was so meek in the beginning but I enjoyed watching her step up to protect Wes but Alastaire was my favorite. You never know what you are going to get next from him. This is a great story. It’s a quick read but ends like it could be a series. I really hope that is true because I can’t wait to find out what Wes gets himself into next. I received this book for free from the author in exchange for an honest review.

I am surprised that I liked this book as much as I did. I am not a huge fan of witches/demons but I enjoyed this story and the characters, especially Wes and Morgan. It almost seemed plausible or maybe I am still in readerland. I would enjoy another story with Junie, Alastair, Harris, Wes, Morgan, Miss Fox and the witches. Throw in a pinch of romance, add just a touch of heroism, and a dash of intrigue, and what do you have? A spell of a good story. Yes, another expert work of artistry by a very gifted and wonderful author. Michael Phillip Cash, has weaved together an intensely picturesque tale. WITCHES PROTECTION PROGRAM was very skillfully written and so fast-paced I didn’t want to put the book down. The scenes kept bursting forth , like a whirlwind, as each chapter opened up with new excitement. The characters were unbelievable and practical, and so well described that I found myself seemingly pulled into the story. I loved all the characters, even the wicked ones, because they made me so angry. But my two favorite characters of the whole story were Wes and Morgan,  Wes Rockville, as far as his dad was concerned, had messed up for the last time.  He called him into his office and asked for his police badge. Then after a long argument with his son, he handed Wes a small scrap of paper, and refusing to listen to what Wes had to say, he then told him he was being reassigned. Wes wondered why he was being dismissed without a second chance, like a child, and, even though his heart wasn’t in it, and he didn’t believe in witches anyway; Still, with the look of doubt written all over his face, he memorized the letters on the paper, then burned it, and was told to go and find Alastair. Wes didn’t like it, but he went.  Once Wes found Alastair, and was shown where he would be working, Alastair began preparation on how to help Wes and show him his job description. Wes thinking he was at some government place, but still didn’t feel right about it, didn’t quiet understand. There is no such thing as witches, right? so why was Alastair telling him and showing him all of this nonsense about them? Why did he need to know about it? Was it for his own protection in case he came across a witch? How could it be, if they weren’t genuine in the first place? Then he met Morgan. Will Wes get through this assignment without any scratches? Will he fall head over heels deeper in trouble? Or will he be reassigned somewhere else and forever be cast out of that program too? A wonderful must read.

It’s about good witches vs bad witches... Cash is an award winning nine book novelist and screenwriter and has produced another first class story with suspense, twists, turns and tomfoolery that will definitely hold readers attention wondering what’s going to happen next. The story-line is about good witch vs bad witch and stopping global witch domination. The fascinating story-line could be a metaphor for our real world filled with the honest givers and the nefarious takers. Wes Rockville, with a tarnished law enforcement past, is given one more chance to prove to his father that he can succeed. His father assigns him to “The Witches Protection Program,” but Wes doesn’t believe in witches. Will Wes prove himself to his father and what will happen to cause him to believe witches are real? “The Witches Protection Program” has a masterful plot and theme. Cash is a great storyteller with an English degree and MBA. The story is not without romance and contains all of the elements necessary to provide readers high quality entertainment. The book will keep readers glued to the pages. It will not disappoint. Are witches real? Cash comments about the books’ ending: “it’s the end for some, but for others it’s just the beginning.”

Loved this book from the very first page to the very last. And I certainly hope this was just one of a series with the cast of characters introduced in this book - because it definitely has all the elements of an entire series to it. Witches alive and living among us mere humans - every day in every way? Yep, it's true - and there's a special branch of police to protect the good witches from the bad. At least, that's what we are told - and shown - in the book. Lots of fun twists and turns, lots of "quirky" characters, and a thoroughly fast and furious read. I loved it! Thank you, Mr. Cash, for such a great tale. Please, please promise you're writing more about the WPP in future books.

Some authors just know how to tell a tale, give them an idea, tie a few knots in it, dip it in rainbow dye and they can run with it. Michael Phillip Cash is one such writer and Witches Protection Program is his latest idea gone wild. In a family full of over-achievers, Wes is not another cookie-cutter piece of perfection to hang on the tree. He is human, knowingly has a few flaws and has adapted, but of course, Dad, who happens to be his law enforcement boss, takes his displeasure to new levels by sending Wes to the Witches Protection Program, where good witches often become the victims of bad witches and someone has to protect and serve, right? Wes finds himself waist deep in witchcraft, and danger as corporate hijinks and dark secrets are uncovered. Will Wes find he just isn’t cut out to be a hero or will he discover something even better than pleasing good ole Dad? It seems no matter what Michael Phillip Cash writes, he nails the entertainment factor from start to finish by reaching out beyond the safe zone and skims the very edge of the realms of possibility! With Witches Protection Program Mr. Cash has combined a little drama with a slurry of humor and a full measure of fantasy, put a bow on it and stamped it done with his own bold flare and style! Looking for an author who knows no limits?...who goes the distance to entertain with fresh ideas and fascinating plots full of originality? Look no further, it’s all right here, in Michael Phillip Cash’s latest! His writing is kind of like opening the Cracker Jack Box, packaged inside the covers is another great surprise! I received this copy of Witches Protection Program from Michael Phillip Cash in exchange for my honest review.

Are you ready for another thought provoking novel by Michael Phillip Cash? Well, Michael has made a left turn in the funny department. Witches Protection Program is a fun departure from The Hanging Tree and Stillwell.  Wes is a rookie for the Bureau, he screwed up on his first assignment and his Dad is a little hot under the collar. Most parents would feel bad for their child, but dear old Dad is head of the Bureau. Wes's Granddad created the department, so Wes wasn't living up to the family standard. Dad reassigned Junior to the WPP (Witches Protection Program). Wes is given a crash course on witches and he doesn't really believe in them. That is until he witnesses them in action. There are good witches and then there are bad ones. The WPP looks out for the good ones. In the end, Wes helps save the day and Dad offers him his old job back. Wes decided to stay with WPP. Michael had some great LOL points throughout the novel. I hope there is another installment in WPP, I would like to see Wes dig himself out of problems he always seems to step in. Give WPP a chance for some light hearted fun reading. Also don't forget to bring along your roll of Duck Tape, you never know when it will come in handy...

Witches Protection Program is the newest thriller by Michael Phillip Cash.  This recently published novel features the 232 year old top secret Witches Protection Program of the United States federal government. The reader is introduced to the newest hero, an agent named Wes, as he comes face to face with modern day witches and an unexpected conspiracy. It is evident that Cash has done much research into secret agencies to create an authentic tale of intrigue and drama.  It is written as if from an insider's point of view- convincing and real.  It might even make some readers wonder what if it were true.  The integration of historical details creates just enough plausibility to capture the attention of any reader who is into secret societies, conspiracy theories and mysteries.  This book would make a great story line for a supernatural detective series.  I think this book is too good to be just one story, and would make a great transition to become a prime time television series. I would like to see Cash explore the possibility of creating a made for television series.   For anyone who enjoys detective stories with a supernatural test- this is the book for you.  Michael Phillip Cash, the author of many bestselling novels including The Flip and The After House, delivers another complex, well written novel proving his talent in a variety of genres including science fiction, horror and mystery,  As a blogger I received a copy of this book for the purpose of writing this review.

A delightful read – almost makes you truly believe in witches! Wes Rockeville, a disgraced enforcement agent is given what he thinks a demotion to a new job, and his last if he doesn’t succeed! I enjoyed the characters – and just had fun reading the book, hoping the good side would win! Bad witches and good witches are amongst the characters creating a wonderful romp including a lot of suspense through the land of make believe … or are they really there? A wonderful lighthearted romp in reading! Once I started, I couldn't put it down! And it only took a day to read!!!! Delightful read!!! Brings smiles to your soul!
