In this novella we have a Lt McDonald from the 10th Mountain Division, who has lost all his fellow soldiers in a tragic accident during a severe storm in the mountains. All alone and nearly incapacitated by cold, he's approached by what he believes is help from his wife in the form of a beautiful, enticing hallucination. So believable that she has already saved him from the accident that took the others. But not is always at it seems and thanks' to his deceased companions he's saved from a terrible fate. A very different kind of ghost story.
Things aren't always what they seem... this was a quick read but the short story packed a steamy and adventurous punch.
