What if everything you ever wanted was not enough?

Martha Lamont has it all: a passionate marriage, two well-adjusted children, a lovely home and a high-profile job as a showbiz interviewer for a major national newspaper. Her gorgeous husband, Jamie, is happy being a stay-at-home-dad while she pursues her career.

But appearances are often deceiving. One day, Martha makes a discovery that rocks the very foundation of her world and she begins to question everything she thought she wanted.

Then, during an interview with a famous actor, Charlie Simmons, Martha finds herself pouring her heart out. And soon their friendship turns into an intense relationship…

Now, Martha must make the toughest decision of her life. Does she fight to keep the life she loves? Or are some betrayals just too big to forgive?

Spoilers: Okay, I'm giving this book 3 stars because it was a good book and I am still processing my feelings. I've never felt bad or had any sympathy for a character that cheats on their family (wife and children are hurt), but I truly felt sorry for Jamie. He really was a nice guy that made a terrible choice/decision that hurt his wife and kids. He loves his family and has so much regret and remorse. He owned his choices and made no apologies or excuses and did everything in his power to "make it right". He worked hard to make amends with his wife (Martha) who rightly so was deeply hurt, disappointed and angry. She definitely had the right to feel that and much more. Where I have a problem with Martha is that in the end she was no better than Jamie in my opinion, maybe worse because she developed an emotional affair. Martha eventually has sex with Charlie and therefore, cheats on Jamie, but that is not addressed in the book. She knew this was a deal breaker for her and she had feelings for Charlie and wasn't honest about it. She actually left Charlies bed and went back to Jamie for the "kids" instead of having an honest discussion. Also, the ending was alright, but why not be honest and talk about true feelings instead doing something dishonest in the name of love and "self-sacrifice". The only characters in the book I truly had sympathy for were the children, they behaved more like adults than the cheating, dishonest adults in the book. Honestly, I felt for the cheaters, they at least owned their choices. The two "betrayed spouses" had a emotional affair going and were not honest about it. I also call foul on their quick attraction to each other.

This book was about a husband's infidelity. I just don't like stories based on infidelity.
